A true convert
As a serving military officer I must be clean shaven at all times, I have always used a wet razor, however, after trying the Braun for several days I can safely say I am converted as it gave me the closest shaven ever and has set a new standard of shave, i particularly welcomed the grip and battery life as it lasted for 3 days on exercise. I’m an electric shaver convert!
Having used a manual razor daily for 30 yrs, I’ve always been a bit sceptical about using electric ones. On my first use it was difficult to ascertain the correct pressure to apply as I’m so used to using a manual razor, this had me worried it would not be suitable for me. However using it the 2nd day was so much better, it was easier to glide around. The result was a cleaner smoother shave. I’ve now put my manual razor away! Quality piece of kit
30 years ago I used Braun-simple, worked a treat.This Series 8 is another creature.Fits quite nicely in the hand.Tells you to charge, to clean, to replace the heads.How economical that makes it I can't say.Straight out of the box it performed OK.The tilting/locking head works really easily and very well.After the first cleaning (quite loud) there were stubble residues in the head, but smelled (nice) 'fruity' and seems to cut much more closelyThis review was collected as part of a promotion

Perfect for a first-time electric razor user
This product was easy to get to grips with understanding and using all of its features. It has everything you would want from a shaver and the quality of the shave is better than manual shaving. I've now shaved 4 times with this shaver and still no cuts at all, and no rash! All in all, I would say the money invested in this shaver is well worth it. Good work
I have previously been a user of electric shavers and haven’t really got on too well with them, either the shave has been rubbish or they have left my face sore. But.....This is different!! The shave is really good, we aren’t talking a wet shave here but still a good close shave. The shave leaves little to no “shave burn” which means you can use the shaver daily.The product itself is well built, feels good to hold and use.This review was collected as part of a promotion

Closest shave ever!
You feel the quality of this shaver as soon as you get it out of the box. Really comfortable grip and the charging / cleaning station look great. Electric shavers normally leave my skin irritated however not with this shaver. It glides over the skin effortlessly leaving absolutely no irritation. I normally go for a wet shave for closeness but again, this shaver matches my wet razor for a close shave with none of the hassle. Love this product! This review was collected as part of a promotion

This changed my view on dry shavers.
I joined the Army at 16 in 1995 and had never really had a need to shave before then. Since then Monday to Friday for the last 24 years (apart from leave, weekends and my passion offshore yacht racing) I've had the same morning routine of wet shaving and over the years I've tried lots of different wet razors believing the dry shave to be a very poor second and nowhere near as close. One word ... Amazing!
This electric shaver is amazing ! From when you take it out of the box you can see it oozes luxury . This series 8 shaver has a trimmer attached as well as a little station where you can clean the shaver after every use . As soon as you switch it on you, it as if by magic glides along your skin effortlessly. I had a three day stubble and this left my skin soft , smooth and hair free. I love the trimming attachment as it was very easy to use and it means that I only ever need one product.

Simply the Best (shaver I have had)
The closest to a wet shave; without plasters. Series 5 was OK but not great after a few days of growth – it left long hairs and plucked the rest. They look very similar with the same profile only the extra display and silvery finish on the 8. Easy to hold but I am used to the shape. Seems lighter. The cleaner/charger works well. It should save dismantling the foil. Retails around £160 (RRP £420). Good considering what you get. The cleaning cartridges from around £12 for 3. Recommended.
