Nice smooth shave....
5After having a quick look at this shaver setup was fairly straight forward right out of the box so I didn't have to go messing around looking for instructions (because who wants to do that right), however I do have a small gripe about that I'll address later in the review... So first impressions, packaging is impressive and informative, on opening the box I found a beautifully styled shaver which I was really impressed with with a convenient zip up carry case which is a handy bonus. As previously mentioned it was pretty easy to set up, stick the cartridge in the bottom of the smart care centre and plug it in, which is probably just as well really because the instructions for the product are all pictures and to be honest i found them slightly confusing, My one gripe would be that it doesn't explain in writing so you are kind of left to your own interpretation of what the pictures mean. I also did wonder if the cleaning fluid cartridges would be hard to find, but a quick google later and I'm fairly satisfied that they are readily available online and fairly reasonably priced at around £15 for 3 (I'm not sure how long one lasts but I imagine a while), as are the foil replacement cassettes (blades), which are (I think) about £30 but these apparently last approximately 18 months (according to the box) so if you consider that alongside the price of a pack of razor blades which you'll buy all the time it would probably save you a fair few quid in the long run. The shaver itself though not heavy feels fairly solid in the hand, easy to grasp so there's little chance of it slipping from your hand. the buttons are fairly self explanatory, on, off, stop and go and the rotational foil shaver part moves and adjusts nicely across the curves of your face. The razor cuts great, I have quite fine facial hair so I was a little worried that the foils wouldn't catch it the way they do course stubble but I was pretty impressed with how well it cut, a couple of passes and the hair was gone, leaving a smooth close finish and with ZERO razor burn or discomfort. a very VERY nice and comfortable shave. I did find it a little hard to neaten up the edges of my goatee, but a quick switch over to the precision trimmer attachment that is included sorted that right out. Sticking the shaver back into the cleaning station is as simple as placing it and touching a button, and the automated cleaning process fires up your shaver whilst simultaneously blasting it with an alcohol based sterilising solution so you have peace of mind that it's nice and clean and hygienic every time you use it, it also has a traffic light feature that shows when the cleaning cartridge needs replacing and as I mentioned previously these are readily available. I think I've just about covered everything in this review so in summary I would say that if you are looking for a low maintenance, hygienic, great quality and nice looking shaver then I would definitely recommend this model as a go to product. Braun is a reliable brand and this more than meets the standard you would expect from the name.

Braun series 7 wet & dry shaver
5I had 5 days growth of beard and tried this for the first time not expecting it to work as good as it did, there was no nicks or razor burn, and the cleaning cycle was very effective.the razor has quite a powerful kick when first starting up, and should be suitable for most shaving Problem areas.

Fantastic close shave with no cuts etc
5I wish I took a before and after picture because the difference is significant. I intentionally grew my facial hair out once I knew it was coming. The charging station is pretty cool and lights up at the top, this also doubles as a self cleaning mechanism that uses a solution that is provided. I first used the precision trimmer as some of my hair was longer than my head hair, i I then used the shaving head (oh easy interchangeable) and was not disappointed, no pain no cuts (for a change), the little screen tells you how much charge it has and also when to replace its head etc. It’s a brilliant bit of kit and I’m very impressed with it.
