[This review is part of a promotion]I bought it a week ago and WOW! This machine is a beast mode on shaving beards. I was looking for something similar and worth every spent penny. Shaver has a travel case and another one for home use. It is quickly charged with the main charging station or in case. No need to worry about cleaning it, because cleaning liquid is already in a kit. It has another shaver for beard modelling. It is easy to use it, so from me 11 from 10.

[This review is part of a promotion]Let’s get started by saying that shaver is a sore point for me – quite literally. I have to shave nearly every day otherwise my beard grows fast and the whole shaving experience can hurt as the shaver attempts to cut the long hairs off my face and they get stuck and pull. To give you an idea of what I mean, picture shaving a Velcro strip. This exactly the situation I can find myself in, especially when I’m on annual leave from work, and forget whilst I’m not going anywhere. On opening the box, the first thing I did after looking at the shaver itself, was to look at its documentation, which is vague at best. Instead of actually telling you how to look after the shaver, you are reliant on a series of pictures. (photo attached). Did these pictures mean I was to rinse the shaver under the tap after every use, and then shake off the excess water before putting the unit into the smart centre? Do I have to empty out any excess hair first or does the smart centre take care of this? It would appear that what the pictures are referring to, is that if you decided to use this unit as a wet shaver in the shower (which you can as its 100% waterproof) you have to rinse out any shaving gel/foam before the cleaning process can be started. Over the years, I have tried many different shavers and have yet to experience one that has given me the close, comfortable shave I seek. However, that being said, the Series 9 Pro comes pretty close, and I would get this is down to the AutoSense tech, which automatically adjusts the speed of the motor dependant on beard density! Pretty impressive stuff, but it still struggles a little with the shortest of hairs, and these require extra attention, or use of the beard trimmer to get them. The shaver head on this bad boy sports 2 x OptiFoil cutters for closeness, a ProLift trimmer to get at shorted hairs, a Direct&Cut trimmer to get the awkward hairs and a skin guard to try to protect the skin from shaver rash. I love the fact that this comes with a 5 in 1 Smart Care Centre. This handy little gadget takes a look at the shaver every time it’s used and assesses which level of clean and lubrication it needs. Either stage 1, 2 or 3. Each stage takes longer than the last and uses up more of the fluid in the cartridge. Once it’s done its thing, a fan comes on and dries the shaver head so it’s ready for its next use. One thing I have noticed with this is it seems that it’s going to get through cartridges pretty quickly. One the first use which was only fairly brief because I wanted to try it out and see how it felt compared to my previous shavers, it wanted a full-scale level 3 clean. Guessing this was because its new, but I couldn’t find any info in the manual. The second time I used it, again it was only a few minutes, and it wanted a level 2 clean, so it would appear to get the quickest eco clean which is level 1, you have to shaver for virtually no time at all! I also noticed that when the smart care centre has done its thing, there are faint water marks on the shaver’s body which have splashed up. The SmartCare centre just plugs in using the supplied cable into your usual shaver socket, but the cable is very short which is frustrating, and as a result I have had to move the location my shaver is in because of the shorter cable. The cleaning cartridge should last up to 1 month. The front of the shaver features an LCD display, which gives you info on the shaver’s status. It tells you the battery charge, level and when the shaver needs a visit to the smart care centre (after every shave basically). You can even turn on the travel lock so that the shaver isn’t inadvertently activated whilst you are travelling, and it will even tell you how long the shaving head has before it needs changing. Also on the shaver’s body is a precision switch which allows you to fix the otherwise automatically adjusting shaver head in place. I don’t find this feature at all useful, despite having tried it several times, I need the shaver head to be continually adjusting to the contours of my face to get me the best shaver possible. Included with the shaver is a handy dandy pretty solid travel case, which, not only keeps your new shaver safe on its travels, but in a stroke of genius, it also doubles as a charging chase so you can put the shaver in, press a button and it will charge the shaver, essentially increasing the battery life by an additional 50%. You already get 60 minutes of shaving from a full charge anyway, so that’s 90 minutes shaving time! According to Braun, this is a world’s first. You can charge the case up using the same cable that is used to power the SmartCare centre. In conclusion here is a summary of pros and cons for me. Pros: SmartCare Centre is great. One touch does it all Beard Trimmer Fantastic battery life, and double whammy with the battery charging travel case. Gentle on skin Cons: Cable is short Instructions are vague Drinks the cleaning fluid and more cartridges will be needed. Can miss the more awkward hairs Overall, I am really impressed with this shaver. It gives me the best shave I have had of any shaver to date. Clearly, Braun has put some thought into this, and being a use of the previous Series 9, is it better? Absolutely. It doesn’t pull on longer beards like previous shavers have and I don’t get razor burn like I used to. Really happy with this product, and I think you’ll be too. I give it 98% out of a possible 100.

[This review is part of a promotion]This is the best shaver I've used so far! It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. It's as good as using a razor blade. It's always charged thanks to the charging case. I especially like that it doesn't dry your skin out like others I have used in the past. It's comfortable to hold and use. I would definitely recommend this product.

Superb shaver

[This review is part of a promotion]I have an older Braun shaver and this one surpasses it in all ways, the cleaning and charging station works wonders it automatically cleans, lubricates, dries and charges the shaver. This one also has a hard travel case which protects the shaver and also charges. The pro has a differing head capable of coping with 7 day stubble however I have only used on max 4 days however gives a clean shave and don’t doubt it could cope with another day or twos growth. The head had good flexibility and the battery has a good life.

[This review is part of a promotion]The Braun Series 9 Pro 9477cc Electric Shaver is truly by far the best electric shaver I’ve used. It’s a very good quality, premium, tough and built to last kind of shaver that packs a real punch. It’s got great features and performs effortlessly with amazing results. The shave is as close as they get, razor like but without all that hassle. It’s great on sensitive skin and very impressive even on tough beard areas and tricky hairs, it’s pro lift trimmer works very well. The great thing is that it can be used wet or dry and gives a 60 min shave on just a 5 min quick charge. It comes with a mobile charging power case and an exceptional 5 in 1 smart care centre which is brilliant. Quite frankly, I’m blown away by this amazing shaver and I highly recommend it!

Can not get over how good this is

[This review is part of a promotion]Wow, I can't seem to grasp how good this is I'm really impressed. It came opened the box and from opening I was like wow this is smart, I really like the charging case which is gonna be a life saver when traveling with work, but not only that comes with a charging Dock/cleaning station. I cut my two day beard and it was near enough smooth which shocked me alot as I've used electric shavers in the past and this beats them all. The easiest way to shave when travelling or working away even at home saves so much time even does my head which is a bonus. I'm just gob smacked at how good the charging case is and how slick and modern it looks. 100 %recommend to anyone who wants to save time and have an amazing peice of technology.

[This review is part of a promotion]Over the decades, I have used Norelco, Panasonic, and Braun. I find myself always going back to Braun. I have always fought against using the cleaning & charge station. Cleaning the Braun razor was fairly easy. I took off the screen top and ran water over the head. After several years, the hair (and probably toothpaste, too) started to play havoc with the plumbing. I decided to use the cleaning & charge station. The cleaning station worked better than my old manual method of cleaning. The instructions say to clean every day, but I found Wednesday and Sunday were more than enough. I would even try once a week, but the cleaning solution seemed to give out about the same time as cleaning twice a week. The station is loud. If you have others in your home, I would not clean until everybody is up. When my dad needed a new electric razor, I did not even think twice before purchasing him a Braun. I realize that Braun is a bit more expensive than other razors. The life and quality of a Braun makes every penny worth it.

[This review is part of a promotion]This shaver is the ultimate shaver! It does absolutely everything it states and what’s more it’s lovely to use on my sensitive skin. It gives a good close shave, no matter how many days you haven’t shaved for. Leaving my skin feeling smooth without need for aftershave etc. In the box you get two instruction manuals one for the shaver and one for the cleaning station, the cleaning /charging station and cartridge, the shaver, a travel charging case, cleaning brush and shaver plug. The cleaning station alone is a definite selling point I’ve never seen one before so was intrigued to see how it works and benefits the shaver. It’s actually very simple all you do is insert the shaver, head down and press the on button to active the cleaning. A feature that we seen on some previous models. The cycle takes an hour and in this time it throughly cleans the head, lubricates it and dries it, prolonging the life of the blades. The station also doubles up as a charger which you can use without having to clean it, just insert the shaver head down without pressing the cleaning button and it will automatically charge. It also comes with a smart grey magnetic travel case with a brush for the head which clips in well. All you do is simply charge up the case then each time you put the shaver inside it will charge it up and keep it safe for on the go use or just to keep it protected well at home. Very clever bit of kit, I would definitely recommend this shaver for anyone thinking about upgrading to a newer razor/shaver.
