Does the job
3I was really looking forward to using this as a change to a manual razor. Unfortunately I was disappointed at first as the device comes with a foreign 2 pin plug. Therefore I had to source and buy an adapter so I could use it. It’s a good shaver, soft and no nicks, would make a good gift.

Hair raising
4I've never tried an epilator before but have always been intrigued as I have a condition called hirsutism which roughly translates as rapid hair growth. I can shave in the morning and be stubbly by bedtime so I needed something that works longterm. People have raved about these for years but warned it could be a little painful. Receiving this braun epilator system, I decided to try it out as soon as it arrived. The pain level is no different to tweezers but not that bad, the hair removal lasted a few days which I am quite pleased with and it's so easy to use. Just plug in and use. The easy trimmer that comes with it is handy for travelling with too just to tidy up certain areas. Overall great quality and a handy little product.

Wonderful Product!
5I’ve been using this shaver for a few weeks now and can honestly say it’s one of the best i’ve used. The way it plucks the hairs from your skin has left me with smooth legs for much longer than regular shaving. The different tools that come with it makes it easy to shave my armpits too and bikini line without any pain. Would highly recommend.

A fantastic starter kit
4The Braun Silk-épil 5-825 Power Epilator, Corded Epilation with Shaver Head & Trimmer Cap and Bikini Styler is a fantastic set. I am new to epilating and therefore this kit has come in really helpful as I now know it is not for me, as I just find it too uncomfortable. However this set has a trimmer and shaver and therefore these other parts of the kit will get constant use. This product is corded and cannot be used in the shower but I do prefer a dry shave. Happy I got this kit. A lovely design and the light helps show up hair more easily.

Reduces hair growth
4I chose the Braun Silk epil 5 as it seemed to have all the extras I would need to keep my hair growth at bay. I used the epilator on my legs and arms which was quite painless and according to the word on the street, it’s more comfortable the more you use it. I also attempted my bikini line with the epilator which was a little painful. Although I will persevere as it should improve over time. I’ve yet to use the little trimmer that comes with it, it’s a very handy travel size. Overall I think the Braun Silk epil 5 - 825 is a great alternative to regular shaving and definitely reduces the hair growth coming back.

Easy to use
4Works as expected, good bundle of extras and easy to use and clean. Would be much better however if it was cordless, you need to have a shaver socket in order to power the device and the cord is not fit for purpose and too short so makes it tricky to use on legs. The product itself is great but would be so much better if it was cordless.

Silky smooth
5This is a perfect all rounder shaving device as it comes with the option to shave, epilate and precision shave. The shaving head is great and gives a nice close shave. The head is quite large so it covers large areas such a legs very quickly. The blade glides over my skin effortlessly leaving me with silky smooth skin! The device easily changes into an epilator by just changing the head, this is extremely easy to do but it does come with through clear instructions on how to do this. It took a few goes for me to get to grips with this feature as it does come with a little pain due to the hairs being pulled out by the route. The device has two settings so I’ve started on the lower option and whilst there is some slight discomfort it is tolerable. I have been impressed how smooth my skin is and how well the results have lasted. I have quite thick hair that grows fast so need to shave everyday, the epilator has changed that for me and I’m able to leave longer between shaves. I love the extra precision device that’s included, it’s great for trimming bikini line and gives a great sharp finish. The device is very well made and feels good in my hand, I like that it has two speed settings for when I’m in a rush. The heads are a good size and glide beautifully across my skin, they are super easy to change and can all be stored together in a lovely pouch that’s included. The power life is excellent too, I fully charged it before my first use and it’s still going strong after several uses, you also get the option to use it with the power cord attached so your never caught short. Overall I’m extremely happy with this product and would highly recommend.

Great even on short hairs!
5I finally plucked up the courage to try this epilator after hearing mixed reviews from people about how painful they can be. I need not have worried, I used it on damp skin and it worked really well- even on short hair. It wasn’t pain free but was much better than I anticipated. There are also different trimmer attachments with this to experiment with to see what works for you best. I would recommend.

The Pain gets Better!
5I got this epilator because I'm sick of shaving bumps and ingrown hairs, and I didn't want to spend a bunch of cash on laser removal. The first time I used the epilator was on my underarms, and I used it at its max setting - in hindsight, probably wasn't the best idea - it did pull quite hard on the hair and did make my underarms bleed in places. Having said that, it does a good job in plucking out the hairs. Pro tip - trim your hair before you epilate, as this is drastically decrease the amount of pain you have to go through (the trimmer is great for this). When I have shaved, the hair usually grows back within the day, but since epilating, my underarm hair hasn't been back for about a week. I think it's a great tool for anyone who can breathe through the temporary pain. Since using it a few more times, the pain has decreased a fair bit.

Amazing!
5I have tried epilators in the past but always went back to shaving. Getting used to the pain was bothersome and I never stuck at it. But this gadget was a game changer! Not as painful as I expected and it's bareable. My hairs on my legs are dark and coarse but they are taking alot longer to grow back and my legs are silky smooth. Cord is long so you have free movement whilst using and a handy light to see where you need to and shoes your little fine hairs. I love the different add ons you get with this product. You can choose the different heads so you can use the epilator or the shaving head. The epilator does leave your skin a little red which is why it's reccomended to do it the night before so your skin calms down for the day after. The more you do it the less painful it is. I love the bikini cap and bikini trimmer that came with it for more detail and precise shaving. Highly reccomend this for girls with darker coarse hair. You won't look back!
