Great Product
5I really enjoyed this item with its many attachments, there are over 13 extra items with it in the form of adaptions, brushes, guards, cleaning brush, bags for storage, charger and the main shaving machine and trimmer . Unfortunately it does not come with the standard 3 pin plug but it does fit the normal 2 pin shaving adaptor. The instruction booklets cater for 24 different languages and is clear, precise and concise allowing it to be easily understood. The main machine has 2 speed settings for the novice and the more experienced individual. It is a perfect size for all hand sizes and has easy manoeuvrability. It comes with two great quality bags for easy storage and a little brush to clean the items of use. The Silk Epil 9 can also be used in wet and dry situations and can be submerged in up to 5 meters depth of water enhancing its versatility. Overall I enjoyed this product very much and would recommend.

Silky smooth!
4I used to shave, epilate and wax in the past, and needed various kits and equiptment. This new braun silk epil is cordless, has so many attachments and can be used wet or dry and covers all your defuzzing needs. My favourite bits are: It has a great light that helps highlight the area and the hairs. It lifts even short hairs with the epilator. The bikini trimmer and its attachments are a great size and shape for the intimate areas (and my hubbys eyebrows). The facial spa brushes are like heaven on your face, leaving skin silky smooth. There are attachments providing various epilator, electric razor, facial spa and bikini hair removal. It charges quickly and holds a good charge. It can be dismantled to clean easily. My dislikes: Its expensive to buy, but there is a lot of equiptment for the price. (Personally I would only buy this on offer, it's about £200 rrp.) Using it in the bath, it can become 'slippy' and difficult to hold safely, a non-slip cover would benefit this. Overall I really like this 'one stop hair removal'. It leaves my legs silky smooth and less painful than my old epilator, and much less noisy! I would highly reccomend this.

4A lot of kit, a lot to review. Its an electric epilator (pulls hair out from root) with a shaver head attachment, exfoliator heads, caps for face and body epilating and a separate battery bikini trimmer all with a nice bag to store. Opened the box to be confronted by a somewhat overwhelming array of these bits but luckily the manual is concise and clear, short and sweet, panic over. Needs 2 hr initial charge for full power, downside is 2 pin plug need adaptor or shaver socket. Handy recharge light giving 15 minute usage warning.Built in light to highlight area you are targeting, nice extra touch. Red light if you press too hard but you have to press VERY hard to get this to show. Works wet and dry, only tested dry as never needed to use in shower or bath but amazing ability for those who do. Cordless, essential as impossible to move and get everywhere with a corded, I've been there. Easy peasy no faff to change heads/attachments. On /off button very fiddly, seemed badly designed initially but maybe this makes it easier when using wet Is my best guess. Good result on underarms, no grey shadow and I've personally found hair become much sparser over the years of epilating I've racked up. Less noisy than my old basic model, a hum not a rattle, 2 speeds gentle and advanced! Facial trimmer attachment I didn't find helpful, prefer to use it without but then I have been doing this for years so useful for the newbie. No less irritation than my cheaper model sadly but hey, your pulling hair out, it will hurt a little but you get used to it and it will leave you red we all know that and its not gonna be a perfect finish initially. Needed several attempts to remove all hairs so no better there than my old one. Thought exfoliation brushes designed to help prevent ingrowing hair were just a gimmick but gave my face a quick once over as intrigued and really plumped up my skin, brill a whole new use as a home facial, well it is a skin spa after all! I am on love with the separate bikini trimmer too, even supplied with battery, quality kit so small but perfect to get the last hair from just about anywhere! Life changing as I've never possessed one of these before! Could take on holiday or wherever you like as so slim comes with bag, so easy, perfect. In essence I wouldn't go back to a shaver or razor but then I had decided this years ago when I got my first epilator. Result far outweighs pain factor. Is this better than the rest? Quality kit but result in my opinion same as cheaper alternatives, just dont get all the luxe extras.If you will use them go for it, its the same with everything you buy nowadays you dont use all the bits in the box just the ones that suit you personally, but lovely to give them all a try to find out and discover. 4 out of 5 due to price not equating to better performance of the epilator than any other though it is quality and a lot of extra good gizmos to play with. Will get used a lot by me!

Finally an all-in-1 that really delivers
5Having used Braun products for years I was excited to upgrade to the Silk Epil 9, but a little dubious that all the ‘extras’ would be worth the money. I needn’t have worried, because they’re all superb! I especially love the exfoliating brushes and the convenience of the brushes, shaver, and epilator being suitable for use wet or dry. As there’s so much in the box, here are the features I loved, or lamented, with each different component: Silk Epil 9 (Main Body, Shaver, Epilator, and Exfoliation heads) Pros: -Cordless -Wet & Dry -Shaving/Epilating/Exfoliating all-in-one -Different heads are all easily interchangeable, even for someone with dexterity issues or wet hands -Everyting locks securely into place with a reassuring click -Epilator's massaging roller contours really nicely and reduces pain -Shaver foils are replaceable to extend the life of the Silk Epil 9 -Charges quickly -Motor much quieter than previous models -I love the pinky/purple details and sparkly body! It looks really expensive and has a great, ergonomic design that feels as nice to hold as it looks -Brush caps with drainage, to stop the wet brushes getting misshapen or musty Cons: -Requires a travel adapter as it comes with a 2-pin plug, which is suitable for many bathrooms but not if charging elsewhere. This is pretty standard though so not bad for my only complaint! Both the shaver and epilator give a fabulously smooth finish, helped by the exfoliating brushes. I loved how soft the exfoliating brush heads made my skin feel, and sloughing off the dead skin made my skin brighter as well as helping me achieve a closer shave. The shaver and the epilator heads each removed more hair in fewer strokes than anything I’ve used before, and they also captured much smaller hairs – probably because of the exfoliation beforehand. (The manual recommends using the exfoliating brushes a couple of days before epilating so as not to irritate the skin, but I was able to shave immediately afterwards without any problems with my sensitive skin. I used the epilator a couple of days later to remove the regrowth.) Braun Silk Epil 9 (Bikini Styler) Pros: -Supplied with an AAA battery all ready to go -Gives a neat finish with a really crisp line (for, say, a brazillian) -Closer shave than other pencil-style personal trimmers, possibly due to the front-facing head wich was much easier to use both right and left handed -Worked well on my bikini line scarring, handling all the uneven skin without issue -Lovely shape, it feels great in the hand and looks like a conventional razor -Shaver guards for longer lengths Cons: -It did pull out a few longer hairs, so might be worth trimming with the main shaver first if there’s a lot of growth, and then using the Bikini Styler to neaten things up Overall I have been really impressed by the Silk Epil 9, and love the convenience of having one piece of kit that does so much and is so versatile. The soft-feel pouch being divided into two sections - and the separate shower-proof bag for the Bikini Styler - make it easy to find all the bits and store them securely. It really seems like Braun have thought about every aspect of this product and as a result it feels, looks, and behaves like it’s great quality. I can’t recommend it highly enough, especially if you don’t like cluttering up your countertop or drawers with endless different gadgets. This one does everything you need!

Thats ... Amazing
5Depilator packaged well suited for a gift. Before receiving this product, I used other methods because I thought it was painful. However, after the first use I found out that the epilator is the best method of hair removal in combination with the brushes included in the set gives the effect of a super smooth skin. The bikini trimmer works great with full control over the depilation of delicate areas. I think that everyone will fall in love with this device after the first use.

5This must be the best Epilators in the world. My old one used to bring tears to my eyes! It is still painfull (let's be honest!) but it is easy to use - wireless and you can use it under the shower or in the bath. Remove even very short hair and leave skin smooth. I also love the exfoliating brush - this is good as it stops in growing hairs!

BEST system ever!
5Tried it for epilation 7 days ago having tried MANY hair removal systems and always had regrowth within a few days wanted to wait before review to see if hair grew back and guess what? NO sign of any regrowth am totally impressed! I tried it on my facial hair and no sensitivy or redness - another first for me. Easy to follow clear instructions a peice of cake to use. I have used the exfoliation and skin treatment and my skin is smooth as a babys bum and looks incredible.

5Before I received the Braun Silk-épil 9 9/980 Wet&Dry epilator I had a look online at its features and to be honest I was amazed at just how much this little guy could do! Not only does it proclaim to be a wet/dry epilator but you can also convert it to a body brush and a shaver. Then to top it off they throw in a battery powered bikini styler too! I've used an epilator on and off for the past 4 years so knew what to expect pain wise. What I wasn't prepared for was actually how smooth my legs were from the first use. It really does grab the smallest of hairs and the light is super useful for picking any strays up. There is a pressure indicator built in so the light turns red to warn you of this - I tested it and you'd have to be going some to be digging it that far into your skin to activate it but maybe that's just me! The exfoliation brush is a big winner for me here, I've always suffered with ingrown hairs after epilating and they have definitely reduced since I've used this afterwards. Another plus is being able to do this step in the shower. I haven't had an electric shaver before but again, this is a nice touch to be able to switch between the two units. Maybe someone who is new to epilating might feel more comfortable using the shaver first and then building up to the epilator adaptor. The bikini styler is super handy for those stray hairs and a quick tidy as and when needed - being battery powered means it's handy to throw in your toiletry bag too. Talking of battery power, I love that the epil 9 is cordless. There's nothing more restricting than having to sit near a plug socket and only having a certain length of cord to work around. Do I have any negatives on this? Only if I was to be really fussy I guess - the swivel power button isn't the smoothest to use and I hate that there is never a UK adaptor in these boxes but that's all I can really grasp at. I was a fan of epilating before but the Braun silk epil 9 takes it a whole new level. Go treat yourself to one quick before I recommend it to everyone who will listen to me sing its praises!

A bit of pain and.... A huge gain!
5Before I start with the review I would like to say that I must have tried all the hair removal methods starting from razors and creams, all the way through cold and hot wax ending on Epilators and lasers. I was very excited about trying Braun Silk-épil 9 9/980 SkinSpa SensoSmart Epilator as it sounded promising. Firstly I was slightly overwhelmed by the amount of different attachments but after reading the instruction manual, it was clear that I will definitely use them all. After fully charging it, I decided that I will give it a try. I dry epilated one leg and to be honest it did hurt, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised as it was not too bad and this is coming from a delicate person, who doesn't take the pain to well. To give myself a break I tried the trimmer. It's design is very nice and sleek, and it's narrow enough to maneuver in delicate areas without causing trouble. Later on, making most of my evening bath, I used the Epilator in the water, exfoliating my other leg before that, to hopefully avoid in growing hair. This time it wasn't as painful as before and the whole experience was a lot more pleasurable as I was more relaxed, so the option to do it this way is a big plus. Almost a week later now, I can see the hair slowly starting to grow back and to my satisfaction, there is no hair growing in on the exfoliated leg which is a deal breaker for me as this was an issue for me previously. I can see few hair that did not come through the skin on the other leg yet however, this may just be to early to judge. One of the biggest advantages of this model is that it catches short hair so that means no waiting weeks before I can use it again. As you can imagine, it's really a PLUS, especially in the summer. I also used the face exfoliating brush which is a nice bonus to an Epilator set. Once again a great product allowing my skin to stay extra smooth by using it 2,3 times a week. Ohhh and another advantage I remember about, is the red light indicator alarming you when there is to much pressure so you can adjust that and enjoy a smooth motion. Summarizing, I would recommend this product to all ladies that want long lasting results with a minimum of discomfort. It is pretty, functional, versatile and comes with a big pouch. What else to ask for!?

5This epilator is fantastic. It feels much more powerful than any of my previous braun epilators and i get a much better finish. A full charge seems to last an hour and a half which is plenty of time for me. The exfoliator heads are a nice extra. I use the epilator on dry skin and exfoliate on wet skin for the best results. The corners of the epilator head can get difficult to clean as hair have a tendency of getting stuck there but overall i am very happy with this product.
