Though it works as described since it’s an at home product it requires more sessions than if you were to get it professionally done. It’s a good option if you want to get the results and save money, but for sake of ease I prefer going to a professional

The best at home hair IPL device!
5[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]I’ve had professional laser hair removal, used another “viral” brand ipl hair remover, and now the Braun skin iExpert. The Braun is by far the best. I saw a slight reduction in hair growth with just the first use. I can use this in my own bathroom (as opposed to making an appointment and driving across town), and the cost is less than one full body in office treatment! I love that you connect it to the app and have a visual of the places you’ve treated as well as reminders to treat weekly. It only feels like a slight popping sensation in a small amount of sensitive areas, I didn’t even feel it in others. I’ve used it for a month now and barely have hair left to shave. I have very sensitive skin and get very bad razor burn with any razor. With in office laser hair removal I broke out in heat related hives but the Braun did NOT cause this! I would 100% recommend the Braun skin iExpert laser hair removal over all other methods. It’s fast, extremely effective and I can do it at home.

Great alternative to waxing or shaving.

I’ve seen a DRASTIC drop in regrowth and bc I’m not shaving/waxing - irritation has completely stopped. The laser doesn’t hurt when making passes on the skin it’s a small pinch. I had no negative reaction after running the light over my hair removal areas. It comes with a really nice organizer case and multiple light heads for targeted areas. Realistically it’s awesome but pricy…10/10

Pretty cool device !
4[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]Gifted by Braun and Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. This device is painless on the most gentle mode. I’m using primarily on my arm pits. The light is very bright and the device is warm but not painful. No skin sensitivity thus far. Using the gliding method is hard under my arm pit since it doesn’t glide the easiest, I suggest doing in front of a mirror if you’re doing yourself because I accidentally went over some of the same spots twice, going over the same spot twice did cause a mild sensitivity. Nothing huge just a bit of a warm slightly itchy feeling under my arms even after the “zaps”were administered. Connecting the device was difficult at first because I lost my connection, make sure WiFi is good when first calibrating your device, once I uninstalled the app then reinstalled it worked fine ! The app is cool because you can generate a custom plan for each body part. I do wish the cord was a bit longer so I could reach areas easier without having to be close to the outlet. I use on the skin comfort mode to avoid sensitivity and discoloration. I can’t speak on its effectiveness as I have only used a few times , but I will say once installed and you understand how to use it, it is pretty easy! Comes in a storage nice case with multiple attachments.

Takes some time
4[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]I’ve been using this device for about 5-6 weeks now, doing one session per week. The light is very bright so be aware of that before using. It also stung a bit on my armpits. After using it more regularly, it hurts less now. It’s hard to tell if it has made a lot of difference in hair growth. I do believe it has made a difference on my bikini line which would make sense as my hair is a lot darker there so it’s probably easier to target. My leg and armpit hair tends to be lighter and thinner so I haven’t seen much difference yet but will keep trying to see if it eventually works. I do love how the app keeps track of your sessions and I also like the case and number of different device heads.

5[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]I've had facial hair my entire adult life and as a cis woman it's been devastating. I've done *everything* to try to get rid of it or minimize it - waxing, plucking, shaving, epilating, dermaplaning, professional laser treatments. The professional treatments were the best, but they were thousands of dollars and the results were very brief - even with a full year of consistent treatment a lot of hair would return within a month. There was no way that I could continue to spend that kind of money on a temporary solution. I spent hundreds on other brands of at home IPL and they were useless. After seeing so many positive reviews for this Braun IPL I decided to give it a go. The results are so far beyond what I hoped for I could cry. I've been using it twice weekly for two months and there has been a drastic decrease in the amount of hair, texture of hair, hyperpigmentation from years of skin damaging hair removal methods, and a massive improvement to the overall texture of my skin. My constantly embarrassing five o'clock shadow is gone. Some realism: you Must patch test, you Must start at the lowest setting and only work your way up when you know your skin can handle it, you Must follow the directions regarding shaving vs plucking - this is a serious device. Be aware it works best on dark hair and only middling on blonde hair (my dark hair patches are Gone, but the blonde patches are more stubborn). I do use this in combination with tretinoin, which is doable but higher risk. I let my skin get used to the IPL for a month before resuming tretinoin. I have a routine of tretinoin, wait three days, IPL in the morning and tretinoin in the evening, repeat, giving my skin a few days of recovery from the tretinoin before the IPL. I'm not recommending that you do this without patch testing and knowing what your skin can handle, but since I saw so many mixed messages online about it, it's worth mentioning that it may be doable for you.
