Review on the Braun Silk Epil 5 Epilator
4When the box was unpacked, everything was neatly put in. The first time I tried it on my arm and I found it very effective as I had just recently shaved my arms so the hair length was not long. Another advantage is that it has two options effective or gentle. So if your in a hurry then to turn it to the effective side. The facial cap worked wonders when I epilated my face. I didn't have to go through any section again. and then the cooling pack with the glove was instantly calming to the skin. Only disadvantage I would say that when it is off charge it doesn't work, so only works when plugged in. Overall a great experience and a wonderful item that is handy for women every day. Recommended to all.

Good Epilator for beginners
4This kit is aimed at epilation newbies and did not disappoint. In order to truly put this epilator through its paces I let my leg hairs grow enough that I did not totally resemble a sasquatch, but enough that I could judge how well it dealt with hairs of different lengths. I am a regular epilator and have had several models over the years all of which have served me well. The head is quite narrow compared to my normal epilator which meant I had to go up and down a lot my leg more than normal to get rid of the hairs, but for facial use its narrow head is an advantage. On the plus side the Braun Silk Epil 5780 was quick, efficient and surprisingly painless. The special massaging rollers on one of the heads do seem to reduce the pain significantly and for those who arre really worried about it hurting the Braun Silk Epil comes with a special ice pack you pop in the freezer and then use in a cooling glove supplied as part of the kit to help ease the pain. There are a variety of caps in the kit that cover the epilator head and are there to help out with delicate areas. there is also a shaver head included so it really is a total body kit. Its quick and pretty efficient at what it does. The integral light is a useful addition and makes it easy to see the lurking hairs.. Changing heads and cleaning the epilator are a doddle. On the minus side it is corded, which is a bit of a pain when going round the back of your legs but then I am used to cordless. I also found the on off switch not particularly easy to use, Its a bit fiddly. However, that said,my overall opinion is that the Braun Silk Epil 5780 is a good basic kit and something very well suited to an epilation newbie.

Bruan Elpil silk5
4I thought the product was fantastic. I have never used an epilator before as I feared the pain. Although it did hurt a bit to begin with it is bearable and with each use the pain become less and less. The light is a great feature as you can see any fine hairs you would otherwise miss. It's great that it comes with various different heads to use in various different places. The only reason I rate this at a 4 is because I think the product would be a whole 5 star's if it had a rechargeable battery pack so you would be able to use it where aver you like. I would definitely recommend the epil-silk5 to anyone new to epilating or just wanting to upgrade their current epilator.

Excellent-Does what is says
4This is my first epilator hence i have been waiting to see how long it will take for the hair to grow back to give you a useful feedback. I was genuinely kicking myself for buying one and lucky me #gotitforfree from bzzAgent. to start off with; The light is really useful as it shows you the finest hair, along with the 2 speed settings,a slower gentler one and a quicker one, it is nice to hold and easy to clean.Pulls hair right from the root and I find that the hairs grow back so much finer with continued use. I personally think it is enough to use once a week. it gets so much easier once you get use it. I have not used the accessories (cooling glove with gel pack, massaging attachment etc) as they didn't seem necessary . The only downside for me is that it is a 2 pin plug and can be only be used from mains if it was cordless could have been much easier and as ]I don't have a shaver point, I have had to invest in a travel adapter. The noise may put you off but i personally don't mind. I would recommend the Braun SE5780 Silk-Epil 5 Epilator. it it definitely worth a try especially for first time users as it is really easy to use.

hair removal hurts!
4I have only ever shaved, waxed or used hair removal creams before so when I received this epilator I was excited to be trying something new. I read the instructions in advance so I would know what to do when I came to use it and I popped the ice pack in the fridge as being a novice would ensure some pain the first couple of times- the ice pack is supposed to numb the area a little so you don't feel as much pain. The first time I used it I decided to remove my armpit hair first as I felt that would be the least painful. I started to remove the hair as instructed and felt it was not anywhere near as painful as o thought it would be! So I went into removing my leg hair with more confidence than i should have had! Wow it hurt! Even with the ice pack I could feel every hair being plucked out. I decided not to do the other leg as I felt a little scared and would come back to it later. I waited a couple of days before I was brave enough to try again and this time it was not too bad. It hurt of course but I think that as I was expecting it, it felt less painful than before. It took a while for my hair to grow back and it was also thinner than before so I would definitely be recommend this method for those who are going on holiday or have a lot of time to spend on hair removal. If you are getting your legs out all the time this is for you! I do not have much time as I have a baby and my legs do not come out often so I do not think I would use it very much but I would definitely use it if I was going on holiday. It is a very high quality product and worth the money if you do not like shaving and waxing. But you do need a high pain threshold!

Braun Silk Epil 5 = EPIC!
5I got this in the post atleast 2 weeks before the campaign started and so I had plenty of time to try it out. (this is my first review so I hope it's useful) :) My first impression of the box was that it was very smart, with a clear list of content and how the content should be used, for example, the names of the different attachments and what they do - the facial cap is used for the face and so on. When I opened the box I noticed that the plug only had 2 prongs, which wasn't a problem because I had an adapter but for people buying one need to be aware (: First of all I placed the cooling pack (nice blue colour) in to the freezer for around 3 hours - it says a minimum of 2 but it might have been my freezer that made it go a bit tough in places.. I have always waxed/epilated/shaved and so I using this epilator was pain free but for people who have not done so before, I'd say it has a pain rating of around 2/3 :) I did find that the 'efficiency' cap caused a tiny but more pain than thee rest but again this could just me my person opinion. This product can be used on legs, body and face though I did not use it on my face as I personally feel that I do not need to. After I had finished I placed the blue gel pack into the silver glove and cooled down my skin. This is the best part of the product!! It was very soothing but not too cold as it is reduced by the glove! However, I could not find how to clean the glove efficiently.. I did not use the epilator in a 'sensitive' area but I would think there needs to be an effective way of cleaning it due to germs, but there are very helpful, clear instructions on how to clean the epilator/ the different attachments. The epilator its self is really light-weight and I really like the white and green colour scheme as it seems to make it appear really clean and it is the perfect size to hold as well as twist/turn and manipulate whilst epilating ! FINALLY.. !! there is a really cute white bag that is included which keeps all of the different bits together, it's so simply but yet so effective.

smooth as silk!
4So as a confirmed wuss and epilator virgin, I was not massively looking forward to this, but hate shaving my legs, only just stopped crying from the first and last time I waxed and cannot abide the smell of creams..... I at first thought it was rechargeable, so after the initial confusion, I read the instructions, which were pretty straight forward, I also familiarised myself with the array of attachments and accessories that come with the epilator. Loads of different attachments for different body areas, or gentle epilating. Once I had cooled the gel pack in the freezer, I decided to give the epilator a try, I had not shaved my legs for 10 days, so they were quite stubbly, I clicked the epilator head into place along with the attachment for gentle depilating..and off I went...I won't lie, it hurt a little bit, but this is where the magic of the cooling glove came into it's own, the gel pack is removed from the freezer and inserted into the silver glove, I then applied to my skin for approx 20/30 seconds before depilating, it made it totally pain free, I was amazed, and managed to epilate both legs quite happily. The results for a first time user were pretty good, only a couple of small areas I had to go over again, but this would be down to my poor technique rather than a problem with the device. My legs are smooth and I suffered no irritation or stinging at all, just a few red dots, which faded within a minute or so..which also pleasantly surprised me. I would definitely recommend this epilator, my only negative is that it is not cordless, so I had to sit on the floor near a plug socket to use it.

Surprised?
4With eyes squeezed tightly shut I dreaded the pain..... But I was pleasantly surprised! No where near what I thought it would be! I tried one leg with cooling pad and one without! Didn't make much difference prior to epilating but definitely made a difference afterwards x didn't see a huge difference between heads and a little fiddly to change, I would also recommend doing smaller areas first if you are changing heads as I found mine got a but hot after doing legs? I'm not that hairy I promise! I think it might be because I was taking my time? Wasn't really expecting the need to get a plug for it, I know it's a standard thing but it's always been a bug bare of mine.... If on sale in the uk then surely it should be sold ready to use? Handling? The design is pretty, good grip, maybe a tad on the chunky side but over all nice to use! Performance? Well not much fun going around the ankle or sensitive areas but a smooth clean finish! Better than I expected and not as sore/ painful as I thought either! Would I use it again? Yes I think I would I think it would be a great alternative to waxing, would save money in the long run and has a better finish! Would I recommend it to someone else? Yes!!! I really would! I would say.... Throw out the negative idea /image you have of the scary epilators from the 80s or 90s and know that it's much less... Painful and much more private than going to a salon for someone to wax parts you'd rather keep hidden ;))) x x

My silk-epil5 experience.
4When I received the product I was over the moon excited about using it decided to use it the next evening, so opened the box and was disappointed to find no normal plug, spent £2 the next day buying the adapter plug at tesco, when I used it i can only compare the pain to when you have your eyebrows threaded but instead of brows it's your body, my skin went red afterwards but by next morning was silky smooth I experienced this everyday it didn't change but I do feel like I have got used to it now, I do feel after 2 weeks of using it my hair growth is less overall pleased and happy with the product.

BRAUN SILK EPIL 5-OUCH BUT WORTH IT
4Now this was my first ever experience with an epilator and to be honest i was very apprehensive, i made sure my gel pack for my cooling glove was nice and cold, applied it to my leg and i was ready to go. I was quite taken aback by the sensation and kept up a running commentary of ouch ouch ouch. I experimented with the two settings and preferred the extra efficient to extra gentle it seemed less painful don't know why that was,i also found if i went really slowly that also helped with the discomfort,i got really brave then and decided to try the efficiency cap, i couldn't tell any difference in sensation but it seemed to do a better job at removing the hair. I loved the light made it so easy to see where i had missed and the cooling glove was a godsend My legs were a bit blotchy and stung slightly which abated after applying some aloe so i would recommend doing this in the evening, but otherwise the epilator has done a great job and i am really pleased with the results, it was worth the discomfort. I haven't tried this on other areas yet but fully intend to. so to summarize yes i will be using this again, the only cons in my opinion are the fact it has to be plugged in and i wasn't aware it needed a plug adapter until opening the box the discomfort wasn't a con as i was expecting it.Would definitely recommend as wasn't as bad as i thought it would be (you do get used to the sensation)and the results speak for themselves.
