Not an epilator virgin
4I have used an epilator before but I gave up a year or so ago as I found the one I was using was so time consuming and didn't do a great job, so I couldn't wait to try the Silk-Epil. It was nicely packaged and as we have a shaver socket in the bathroom, it was no problem to charge up. The Olay wipes were a nice touch as they cool down your legs before you start. Well firstly I loved the light. It makes it so easy to see what you are doing and also makes it obvious if you need to go over a section again. Great idea guys. The pivoting head is also really good. I don't need to go into contortions to reach the back of my legs, which is quite important as I nearly fell off my bathroom stool using my last epilator! The speed settings are good and make you feel in control of things. It is slower than shaving but then again you stay hair free and smooth much longer so I think it is worth the extra time. I don't find it particularly painful but of course it is more painful than shaving. I shall be interested to see how long my legs feels smooth for. I must admit I have not tried my underarms yet but I may brace myself and have a go!

fantastic results
4When using it for the first time I found it rather painfull but got used to it after a while and it's worth the discomfort as the results are fantastic my legs stay smoother for longer I also lent it to a friend who was impressed with the results and is going to purchase her own. A down side to receiving the product is that it only comes with a shaver plug so an adapter is required x

Great product
4A simple, easy to use epilator with a cool gel for aftercare, would definitely recommend to others! The different settings allow you to choose between efficiency and easy on the pain, rather than having no option - great for first time users. I also like the cooling pack that comes with it, especially as my skin was quite red after using for the first time.

Great Features and easy to use
5Today I popped my epilator cherry I have been wanting to try one for a while. Well today I did. The product has a great and easy instruction manual which helped me understand all the accessories and uses.. I plugged in ( which I think should be batteries instead by hey ho) and went for it... The closeness of the eplilator is amazing and people had told me it hurt, that is so not true there is strange feeling but nothing like waxing or shaving cuts.. I am so pleased with the finish and am going to try other areas soon, I did have a little go on my armpit but was very warm so gave in as it did hurt a bit.. However, I will not give up as no pain no gain and I am assured you get used to it. All in all I would absolutely recommend this epilator to anyone who hasn't used one before as it has given me a great look.. And for cost I have worked out this will be a great saving for me :) Thanks Braun Regards Emma #bzzagent#

Amazing!
5I was scared of using it to start off as I thought it was going to hurt. It didn't hurt ONE bit! It felt smooth against my skin and removed the hair well. I was very happy with how it worked! I like how it comes with a little brush to brush off the hair around the top part.

Excellent
5I just bought Epil 5 type 5340 and literally just used it first time. I was amazed by this product and how it made my day! I am so happy that finally epilation is no pain to me!This product epilates almost without pain, which was most important thing to me. I still have my first epilator , which is also Brown and I used it for a whole 9 years and this unit it still working. It's only problem with this device is that I started feeling pain and thought it's probably too old I need a replacement. It is indeed that Brown technology amazes me how robust and long lasting it is. Also I noticed they did improved the design and some other details like you now can wash it under water! Anyway I definetly recommend Brown.
