A Must have item
5The series 5 shaver is a must have item for any man who needs to shave on a regular basis. The first view of this stylist shaver, with its sleek blue lines and dark contRast casing makes the shaver look the part in any man bag. The shaver is a techno revaltion, it shaves with ease without those burn marks and operates like a well tuned engine. This does exactly what a shaver should do, and leaves the feeling that you now no longer need to wet shave again! The shaver 5 series chargers quickly and holds a charge surprisingle longer in my opinion. I for one can't fault this shaver, to all those men who see the chore of wet shaving , then STOP. make the transition to the Series 5 work , you won't be disappointed.

Best electric razor I've ever used
5This razor is probably the best I have ever used. It is simplicity to use, has an excellent feel in my hand and hugs my facial skin to give a far better shave than any other electric razor I have owned. From the moment I unpacked it I was impressed and couldn't wait to charge the battery. The razor felt nicely snug and chunky in my hand and I knew that I was going to have a good shave. The swivel head remains close to my skin in all directions ensuring that I have a close shave every time I use it. The feel of it is very precise and I don't get that type of irritation that I used to get with other foil razors. The way it holds to my face contours as the razor head pivots is such a pleasure. Hard to shave and reach hairs are now a thing of the past. There is a useful precision trimmer that works so well on the edge of the hairline around my ears and side burns. Though I have only used it at home I know that it will fit neatly into my wash bag on my travels. The battery life is very long and to date, after a fortnight of daily use it is still working with the same intensity that it did on the first day after charging. A very handy blue light shows how much charge is left. Pretty useful as it stops you guessing and getting caught out mid shave when others might cut out. Overall I heartily recommend this foil razor. I can honestly say that it is now a real pleasure to have a shave, often twice a day instead of it being a chore and the resultant finish is so smooth and close. Truly fabulous.

The most comfortable shave I've ever had
5I've been really impressed by the Series 5 shaver - it's extremely easy to use, and really easy to get good results. The pivoting head means you don't have to contort or twist whilst shaving to get a close shave, and for those hard-to-shave areas (like where your lip meets your nose), you can lock the shaver head so it doesn't move around to get right in there. A close shave is pretty much guaranteed. It even has a separate trimmer for longer beards etc. The thing I really liked was the Series 5 has lots of little design touches that are genuinely useful. It has a small beeper built in, as well as an excellent battery level display so you know if it's charging, or if it's nearly exhausted. It also doesn't seem to pull or snag on errant hairs, so shaving is pain-free - at last! If I was pushed to list any down-sides, I would mention the fact you can't shave whilst it's charging, so running out of juice mid-shave could be annoying, and the unit does have quite a loud buzz in use, though it's not worryingly so. Both these are very minor, and completely manageable. In conclusion, I've been very pleasantly surprised by the Braun Series 5 - it's easy to use, easy to clean, shaves closely and does exactly what you want from a shaver. Recommended!

Braun 5040s....Amazing Shave
5I have been using the Braun 5040s daily for over a week. OMG where do I start, this is revolutionary and completely changed the way I shave. In short it amazing. The egonomics are great and feels comfortable in the hand having a perfect blend of weight, size and shape. The shaver feels very well made oozing quality and also looks great. Now down to the most important part...the shave! What can I say, I'm truly blown away with how good the shave is. Firstly it provides a very quick close shave. I used to wet shave which took ages not fogeting the nicks and razor bumps. With this shaver I get no nicks nor razor bumps and save time. I have used electric shavers in the past but always went back to wet shaving because they were no match for a wet shave. With the Braun series 5 my wet shaving days are long and truly being me. I would highly recommend this shaver to everyone. I can now get a fast close shave with no nicks nor razor bumps. P.s it also makes shaving fun again, I look forward to my daily shave, go buy and enjoy.

Braun series 5
5The Braun series 5 shaver is excellent, and gives a great close shave, even with hairs that grow at odd angles and directions. I have had a series 3 razor before but the series 5 is so much better, the tilting head makes a huge difference and makes for a closer shave. Works well in the shower too. The battery life seems really good too, I’ve only charged it once and have been using it everyday. It is also very good on sensitive skin, I’ve had no problems with it and my skin is a nightmare. Overall I would recommend this shaver to everyone as it is so good.

A Close Shave
5After trying many electric shavers over the years i have always struggled to find one that shaves as well as a wet razor. However the Braun Series 5 5140s has exceeded my expectations, the auto sensing beard sensor seems to work well, and the ability to use it in the shower is amazing. I have sensitive skin and often if i shave without shaving cream i get dry skin , not a problem for the Braun Series 5 5140s as you can even use it in the shower with shave cream. I found the flexible head was excellent at reaching those hard to reach areas and the resulting shave was as close as any wet razor i have used. After using it everyday for a week so far the battery has held up well and has not yet needed recharging at all, when i did initially charge the shaver it didn't take long at all before it was ready to use. All in all i have been very impressed indeed with the shaver and would recommend to anyone.

One of the best electric shaves ever
5What can I say, excellent shaver from the start. As soon as you turn this shaver on you can tell its going to be different from the rest. The motor seems twice as fast as my other electric shaver and for being re chargeable outweighs it by a mile, smooth comfortable shave, light in the hand and no dangling cords to get in the way. I can honestly say this is the best electric shaver I have used including mains powered ones.

Finally a decent shaver
5One of my biggest bugbears in life is shaving. I hate it!! To me it's the most pointless, annoying waste of time out of any of the things you have to do on a daily basis. Why not grow a beard I hear you shout, well I'd probably look like a garden gnome so not the best idea. Anyway, the Braun 5 series shaver arrived. It looked good, felt good and having not used an electric razor for a few years, I looked forward to giving it a go. After an impressively quick charge, I certainly wasn't disappointed. No mucking about with shaving gel, just straight on to my 2 day old stubble. No pulling at all, extremely smooth action and a couple times over the whole face and almost as close as a wet razor shave. Took about half the time too. Very impressed and am looking forward to using it again tomorrow! Finally maybe I won't mind shaving so much!

Quicker & better than traditional razors
5I’ve been using the Braun 5140s for a week now. I am used to wet shaving with a manual razor so initially tried the Braun after a shower and with shaving gel, however this didn’t give the best result so I swapped to dry shaving without gel and with a dry face, which gave a much quicker and closer shave (which is ideal as it’s less mess & no gel to buy). It’s really easy and quick to use, with the flexible head making the biggest difference - it’s a massive improvement to the last electric shaver I had from Braun which I bought years ago. It took a couple of days to adjust how much pressure I was applying to avoid any irritation but now it’s just as good as a traditional shave, I would say it’s actually better on the more sensitive neck area. I charged the battery when I got it and it’s still showing as full a week later which is great. One last handy feature is the ability to lock the power button to stop it turning on in your suitcase when you are travelling. Only downside could be that it is relatively loud for an electric shaver but this didn’t personally bother me. Overall, I’m very pleased with this shaver.

5I am absolutely over the moon with my new braun series 5! Been using it for a few days literally while I’m in the shower and it’s saving me loads of time while getting ready for work. I’ve always thought a normal razor was better but even this is getting patches of hair that some times I’m missing.
