Epilators belong to the root hair removal methods. Electric tweezers on the epilator's head are used to remove unwanted hair from legs, underarms, arms, bikini area, face or other body areas. As the hair is removed directly from the follicle it provides a long-lasting smooth result.
The more you get used to the sensation of epilation, the more normal it becomes. Hence, our first advice would be to epilate regularly. Further, you can make the experience more gentle by epilating in the bath tub or under the shower (if your epilator is designed for wet & dry usage). Many women report a better experience in combination with the warmth of the water.
To clean your Braun Epilator: Switch off and unplug the epilator. Remove the cap and brush it out. Dip the brush in an antiseptic liquid (not a cream) and thoroughly brush the tweezers from the back of the epilator head. While doing so, turn the tweezers by hand. If the epilator is washable, clean it under hot running water each time you have used it with shower gel, shaving foam or any other bathing product. Press the release button to remove the epilation head. Thoroughly shake the epilator and the head to make sure that any remaining water can drip out. Leave both parts to dry completely before putting them back together.
With weekly use, we recommend replacing the brush after 12 months.
Most women trying epilation for the first time find it much less painful than they expected. If you epilate regularly, any discomfort usually reduces as the skin adjusts to the process.
Whether to epilate wet or dry is completely up to you. Both options deliver the same efficient results. Many women report a better experience when epilating under the shower or in the bath tub, but in the end it comes down to personal taste. When epilating wet, please ensure that your epilator is designed for wet & dry use.
Yes! Epilation is easier and more comfortable when the hair is 2-5mm long. Ensure your hair is free of cream and oil Have a bath or shower before epilating. This makes the hair easier to remove. Make sure the skin is dry before epilating unless you are using a Silk-epil Wet & Dry model which can be used on wet skin. Epilate slowly. It should take approximately 15 minutes to do each leg. Move the epilator in several directions. Depending on the area you’re epilating, hair grows in different directions and you should move the epilator accordingly.
If you do not have a shaver socket in your bathroom, you will need a UK 2-pin to UK 3-pin plug-in adapter for models with a UK 2-pin plug, and a Euro 2-pin to UK 3-pin permanently fixed adapter for models with an European 2-pin plug.
