Braun Epilator Silk-épil Series 5 5-625P

So much better than the last epilator, I should have changed the old one much sooner.

I have been epilating for a while and really recommend this as a hair removal method. My hair grows back thinner, less obvious and less frequently. This epilator is great as I certainly feel less pain then with my previous one. The only negative with this particular product is the cable is too short which can make it awkward to use.

I finally gave epilating a go after being nervous about the pain and I'm so glad I did! Yes, it is painful to start with (imagine multiple hairs all being tweezed at the same time) but by the second time I used it in these areas the pain already had lessened. It leaves my legs a little sensitive at first but nothing a small amount of aloe vera doesn't help! The results are definitely much longer lasting than shaving with a razor, so I would definitely recommend epilating prior to a holiday!

I have been using this epilator for sometime. It took me a while to get used to using it initially but now I have got the knack of it it is a great epilator - it is very effective at removing hairs and has great long lasting results.

Having never used an epilator before due to being scared of the pain, I am pleasantly suprised, this doesn't hurt at all! The razor is also really good and shaves very close to the skin. Very easy to clean the detachable heads and also comes with its own little brush for cleaning.

This product was ok I found the length of the cord not long enough and my legs wasn't left feeling smooth as compared to a normal razor. The epilator really hurt my skin so will try again when my skin has settled overall its good for a quick shave not a deep smooth shave though

I am 3 weeks into owning this epilator and have so far used it on my lower legs, armpits and bikini area. It is incredibly painful(!), however, it is also easy and highly effective. The instructions are easy to follow and the kit itself is simple and of high quality. I used the the shaved head included before using the epilator so that my hairs were at the recommended length for removal. I think it is brilliant that this is included in the set as you will use it and need it. I do think the shaved head is useful but it was not the most efficient I have used, I had to stop and clean the hairs out repeatedly and it was slow to get through an area on my body. The epilator however is 5* and when incorporating the 2 speed settings for removal has fantastic removal coverage and speed. My hairs have started to grow back 1.5-2 weeks later, but noticeably thinner than before (similar to the effects of waxing). I have course black hairs naturally so I am very happy with this. This epilator is great and a cost effective 1-time buy hair removal solution. My new and permanent hair removal method.

This product is great because it has the shave, trim and epilate options available. Contained within the box was the epilator, shaver head, trimmer cap, cleaning brush and the power cable. The device is able to remove hair 0.5mm long and I find that by pulling the skin tightly it is easier for the device to glide over the skin and remove the hairs. If you haven't used one before it can be quite uncomfortable. My hair grows back very quickly so I find it best to use on day 2 after shaving, that way the hair is not too long and uncomfortable to remove and I tend to do it after a bath so that the pores are open and it also provides time for the skin to calm down if you complete the process in the evening. This also boasts 28 tweezers to provide effective hair removal. This was very easy to use and clean and provided long lasting hair removal and I would definitely recommend.

Got this as a suprise for my teenage daughter. She is at an age where she can't handle having hair on here legs and arms so thought this would be a treat. When I firsy gave it to her she didn't say much and I explained I didn't mean to offend. A couple of days later after she had got use to the product she couldn't thank me enough, she even did the washing up!. She said it took a little bit of getting use to but once she got the hang of it had fantastic results and is extremely pleased with it. Build quality looks good and it feels well put together that will hopefully equal many years of use. Fantastic product! Thankyou.

Having never used one of these before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The epilator comes with the cables brush to clean and shaver head. The shaver plug is European so works great in a bathroom shaver plug, unfortunately I needed to plug it in elsewhere, it is an extremely bulky plug. Once I had everything plugged in and sorted it was time to test it out, firstly the epilator. The epilator is so different to a shaver, it feels strange and is a lot harder then regular shaving. I have to say it wasn’t an enjoyable experience and not something I would do often. Then I switched to the shaver and I loved it, it can be used with it without the cover which I really liked. It is simple and the shaver works really well, cutting right down as well as a hand held razor, even better in fact. There are 2 settings, a slower or faster one, which is great. I have used it on arms, legs and other areas and it is able to get into the areas normal razors can’t always get to. I think for me the only downfall is that it is cabled, if it was cordless it would be almost perfect! I really like this shaver, not the epilator, it works well and does what I need it to. I would definitely recommend it.
