I wanted a new shaver that I could use in the shower, similar to my hair clippers. I discovered the Braun Series 6 models and decided to treat myself to one of the cheaper models but still more expensive than anything I had bought before! In terms of usage, the razor gives a good, smooth and close shave whether dry or wet. It has a good battery - I haven’t had to recharge it yet in 3-4 weeks or regular usage - and easy to clean / rinse off when you’re done. My only gripe is that, at this price (c.£200), I would have liked more attachments - e.g. nose hair trimmer - as standard.

I wanted to give this a chance before doing a review but it just didn't get any better. The main head on this shaver was just awful. It struggled to shave even the shortest of hairs/stubble. I tried on 5-7mm hairs and no chance, I tried on 1-2mm stubble and it took going voer 5 or more times and even then it was still patchy. I've given this 2 stars only because the trimming attachment actually is pretty good, but the close shave head was very underwhelming and di not do the job at all. I'm really hoping this was a dud unit.

This is my first time using an electric shaver and I loved it, so easy to use and control and gets all the hard to reach hairs effortlessly, it took less time than manually shaving and done a much better job, it has 3 flexible blades, a precision trimmer and is 100% waterproof, it was a really nice feeling shaver and handles really well and fast charging

So first off I'm not an every day shaver, I'm more an every 2-3 weeks guy. So that may be why this shaver does absolutely nothing to my beard when i try and use the main shaver function. Though I also tried it on shorter hair and it still barely works, so I'm not sure how short hair needs to be for this to actually cut!? Fortunately this shaver comes with an attachment for precision trimming. This works very well, so I use this to trim my beard down to low stubble. The shaver itself is very lightweight and nice to use. Very comfortable to hold and operate. Only used it twice so not sure on battery life. Overall its disappointing for what is an expensive product from leading brand. It might work fine for an every day shave, but I would have expected more to be honest. The precision attachment saved this from being totally useless, and gives the added benefit of full body trimming.

This being my first experience of this type of shaver was pleasant one with up to a days growth. Beyond that I would find it started to tug and was very uncomfortable but the included precision trimmer head helped me a lot with that as it basically reverted this device to my traditional choice of shaver. Saying that you could consider this as a 2 in 1 shaver using it either as a daily shaver with the main head or using the precision trimmer to sculpt anything over that. It also comes with a 2 pin charger to charge the device which doesn’t take too long. With a display showing the charge left in the device being very helpful. This shaver is also 100% waterproof if you like me take it into the shower. Overall it is a good product but not too sure it has converted me.

very impressed with this product. Electric shavers are often more convenient and less messy than manual razors but sometimes they just don't give you as close of a shave. That definitely was NOT the case with this Braun shaver. It gave me a quick, comfortable, pain free shave. I have to say, it was just as close as the shaves that I get with my manual razor and that is impressive. No razor bumps, no irritation, just a smooth, clean shave. The shaver was comfortable to hold in my hand and keeps a charge for a long period of time. I don't find myself having to charge it very often at all. High quality, durable, feels solid in my hand. Definitely pleased with this product and am really hoping that it lasts a long, long time. It is hard to imagine another electric razor giving this great of a shave!

I have generally stuck with wet manual razors over the years with the occassional electric shaver thrown over the years but always reverting back to manual. That is all about to change as i am so impressed with the closeness, senstitivity and above all the convenience of this razor. It is simply brilliant. I use it with foam and often in the shower and it gives me a perfect shave with no irritation. It charges quickly and the charge holds for a long time. I can't think of any bad points it is simply brilliant.

I've kept away from dry shaving for years after trying it and finding it made my skin sore and left me feeling bitty. Things have changed! No burning sensation at all. The design has obviously been changed alot to get the cuttings away from your face too as it feels clean after shaving. The cutting heads do their job very well. Follow the contours of your face well and give a very close shave. Fully charged it on opening the box and haven't needed to charge again so far. Battery seems very good! Nice weight and ergonomic design. I hate shaving but the series 6 has made it alot easier and quicker. Very pleased!

Just have it 2 weeks now ,I can't regret my choice buying another Braun product after using last one over 6 years,it is great product easy to use easy to clean.Shaving finishes with no time as it cuts all beard rapidly without any faults with smooth finish

I was excited to try this, to replace my very old shaver that has been very loyal to me. I like a clean shave but have quite coarse and thick facial hair. I shave every other day but don't have a particular favorite in a wet or dry shave. So the shaver arrived. It looks really well made, very attractive in appearance, high quality and the bag that it comes with is the same. You can tell that it's not a cheap set. It's very smooth and extremely easy to replace the heads depending on what you want to do. So I jumped straight in to try it. I read the instructions, very simple to read and understand. I did find that on a dry shave, the head kept pulling quite sharp at the hair, to the point where I would jump and it would sting. It was uncomfortable and actually put me off using it. I didn't give up. I used the shavor for the next week or so for an honest review. The wet shave however was amazing. It felt like I was sat in the barbers having a professional wet shave, it was comfortable and kinder to my skin. It was smooth and glided over my skin, leaving no hair but soft skin. I have carried on using it each day rather than every other day. I feel like my skin has improved and my hair doesn't feel quite as coarse which is very strange as it's been coarse and thick since my late teens. I would recommend it but make sure you read through the instructions and keep going, don't give up after the first few shaves. It's a good piece of kit.
