After only the 1st session I noticed the regrowth had slowed down and after the second session I was amazed at the results. For underarms I would have to shave almost daily, maybe every 2nd day but after only 4 sessions already I can go around a week or more and what is there is very sparse so I am very excited to complete the rest my sessions. I always looked into getting laser hair removal but now I can do it myself at home with really fast results and also to top it off it’s painless too, 100% recommend! It also comes with a really handy carry case which is great for storage and keeping the device safe.

Flash of light is very bright so be careful not to look at it when using it! Not seeing much results yet but only 2nd week of using it.. you only feel a slight warming sensation when the light flashes but that’s normal. Not sore at all. Definitely give this product a try!

I have been testing this product out for about 4 weeks now and the results are absolutely incredible! I’m one of those people who HATES shaving with a passion and ever since I started using IPL I do not have to shave as often - the hair that does grow back (especially in the pubic area) is super sparse. The IPL connects to an app on your phone which helps to track your progress as you continue to use it and it guides you through every step so the procedure could be done correctly. This device has also helped me with one of my biggest insecurities! I have keratosis (strawberry skin) on the backs of my legs which gets so much worse when I shave. Ever since I started using Braun Silk Expert the bumps have drastically decreased!! This device is seriously worth every penny and every woman should own one of these.

Inside it also comes with 3 detachable heads which are designed for different body parts, also a very good razor to shave with as you need to do that beforehand. You can easily scan a barcode to download the app which guides you step by step through what you have to do. I found this very easy to follow and had no moments of confusion. The hand held hair remover is very smooth and comfortable to hold. In regards to hair growth; I have very dense hair so I haven’t seen massive results yet (been using it for 4 weeks) but my leg hair has began to grow back lighter which is great. The ONLY thing I’ll add is the box is a bit narrow so I struggle to fit it all back into the box.

Once opened inside is the main hair removal system in a matching pink. You are supplied with the lead and a 3 point plug. It comes with four different heads. The standard head, wide head and two precision heads. There is also a Venus extra smooth razor with one head for hair removal. The instructions tell you what kind of skin and hair you can use the IPL expert on. I am dark hair and fair skinned so I was a perfect candidate for this system but I also decided to see how it works on a friend who is fair skinned and fair haired as it said it probably wouldn’t work on her. There are two techniques to using the systems - stamping and gliding. Stamping is pressing the button and then immediately letting it go and gliding is quite literally holding the button down while slowly gliding it up the part of your body your using it on. It flashes a bright reddish light which you are recommended not to look directly at especially if you have photophobia or other eye conditions. For me the stamping technique has not hurt yet although I’ve only tried it on my legs but the gliding technique can become quite hot and it’s like little pings against your skin. You can use this system once a week and is recommended for a 4-12 week period. I’ve used it a few times now on my legs and I am noticing a bit of a longer time in between shaving. My fair haired friend has also noticed a difference even though it said it wouldn’t work on her. So far I would completely recommend this Braun system as even though the retail price might be steep it is working rather well and is also beautifully packaged and great quality.
