Razors leaving 5 o'clock shadows are really not my thing, nor is the sticky clean up needed after a waxing session, and with my previous epilator needing a replacement, I was really excited to have a go with this one! Even though the packaging stated 13 extra attachments, this became a little daunting once I had opened the box. 13 extra electronic bits and bobs! Thankfully, a handy instructions pamphlet was waiting inside just for me. The instructions was very clear and after reading, I felt much more capable of handling this gadget. Since the device needs a 2 hour charge before use, I had plenty of time to get myself fully aquainted with it! After introductions were over, the bits and bobs and I became very good friends; they weren't as scary as I first thought! And after two hours, it was time to team up and rid the world of my hairy legs! The epilator fits in your hand, without feeling too big and bulky or too small that you're too busy trying not to drop it. It's a little heavier and bigger than I'm used to, but the weight actually made it easier to control and stop myself from pressing too hard against my skin. The machine itself is very pretty. Being a sucker for anything sparkly, it's sleek design and the diamond sparkles makes me want to put it up on display! The exfoliation brush attachment was very easily set up and was a very relaxing massage... But I don't see how this brush can be capable of helping my ingrowing hairs to escape; great concept, but the brush is just too too soft. If you want to get a good exfoliation action going, you're better off doing it manually by yourself with an exfoliating brush (thus my reason for losing one star). But the exfoliation brush was excellent and gentle for exfoliating and massaging my face instead. Not it's intended purpose, but I'd hate for it to go to waste and never to be used. So onto the actual epilation! I had to go over the same area a few times to get every single hair and the smart light was very handy to pinpoint those tiny intruders. There were a few stubborn stubble left over which were too small to be picked up so I pressed the epilator a little harder than normal. This activated the sensosmart feature and turned the happy white smart light into an angry red. So I won't be doing that again! The next day, after a good scrub with my own brush to exfoliate my legs, the epilator did a fantastic job of getting the pesky hairs that were left behind previously. The experience was pain free! All i felt was a prickly tickle sensation (on my legs at least. I was a crybaby when it came to facial hair! But that's due to my own pain threshold being whimpy). After discovering the mistake of trying to epilate longer leg hairs than the recommended length (let me just say... ow..), changing the heads to the electric trimmer with the guide brush was very quick. After a quick trim, I was able to get back into epilating the rest of my legs and underarms. There is a separate bikini trimmer included too which you can use instead if you didn't want to change the heads. Being cordless came out to be a huge bonus. My previous epilator was a corded one and I could definitely see the difference. I wasn't getting tangled up by the wire and I had a lot of freedom in where I moved the epilator and where I moved too (hogging the socket is now a thing of the past!). After finishing the session, there was plenty of battery juice left. How did I know this? Well there's a handy indicator that tells me if there's 15min battery time remaining! Clean up couldn't be easier. Use the brush and dust away all the loose hairs and dry skin or pop the attachments under the tap! No time wasted, just leave to dry and into the big pouch it goes! It's great to know that when you're done, you can get up and go. Extra bonus, the pouch has two sections! So I can put all the heads into one and the epilator to the other. Overall, this machine is a very easy to use and very adaptable device. Easy to clean and easy to store into one handy pouch. And no confusing unnecessary bits and bobs. No more stubble, no messy aftermath and I would say much less painful compared to waxing. Definitely the secret to beautiful hair free skin that needs to be shared!

I love this product. At first I was a bit wary about using the product as I had never used an Epilator before but I needn’t have worried as clear instructions came with the Silk épil 9 and I found it quite easy to use. On opening the box I discovered it also came with a bikini styler which was an excellent extra to include with the epilator. Some of the accessories came individually wrapped which I found very hygienic and there is also a bag included to keep the accessories in. The colours of the epilator are white and pink and they seem very delicate and girly, I really like them. The Epilator when first used was a little bit sore as I have never used one before but my skin soon got use to it and it provided me with fantastic smooth skin. I was really happy with the results. I have used the exfoliation brush to remove dead skin cells weekly and have been happy with the results. I have also used the deep massage pad in the shower but also with body lotion and I feel my skin texture and appearance has greatly improved. The Bikini styler is easy to use and very effective as well. My view overall on the BrAun Silk épil 9 SkinSpa with SensoSmart is that it is a fantastic product and well worth the money. I will certainly be recommending it to my family and friends.

First epilator I have used and I have to say I am really impressed. Seeing as I'm new to epilating I like how it has a senso smart light which goes a red colour when you press to hard on your skin. There are so many different heads for different parts of your which all work incredibly well but I do like the fact that this epilator comes with bikini line trimming head. There are also exfoliating brushes which helps with the ingrown hairs. It all packs away in a very handy grey velour pull cord bag and the epilator is in a very trendy rose gold colour. You can use this in the shower. It's also cordless and doesn't take long to re-charge. I would highly recommend this product to my friends. I wish I had epilated years ago as this gets my legs smoother than waxing and shaving and it's less messy.

I'd previously used one of the 7 series which I really liked, however this was even better! It has a larger head, is quieter and more importantly gentler than the 7. It's a great improvement. I felt the exfoliating brushes were a little surplus to requirements for me, but can see how useful they'd be for those who suffer ingrown hairs. Lots of additional heads, such as trimmer, facial hair attachment, bikini trimmer etc, so you you only need one device, brilliant!

I really like this product because it's easy and comfortable to use. It's fantastic that it's waterproof, I can use it on wet skin, after shower and I can't feel any pain. I love the " Smart Lights " Led because I can see the small, thin hair - I can't lose anything. It's not only very efficiently, all-in-one hair epilation, but it's a full skin spa kit. I like to use the exfoliating tools just one day before I plan to epilate. My skin is now very smooth and radiant. Thank you Braun! It's the product that helps me to be more confident every day.

As soon as this arrived and I opened the box I knew it was going to feel good in my hands. The design is so sleek. I love all of the attachments but i mainly use the epilator. This isn't a painless way of getting rid of unwanted hair but after a few seconds you become accustomed to it and it certainly doesn't have that harshness that other epilators I have used have. I use this on a weekly basis as oppose to shaving almost everyday with my previous electric razor. I recommend this to anyone out there who wants to reduce their body hair drastically...oh and i love the sensolight. Well done Braun!!

I am very impressed and delighted with this new Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa SensoSmart™. I am a regular user of Braun epilator and I have been for quite a while. I knew what to expect with the epilator and shaver but I was pleasantly surprised on how much technology has evolved since! I like the fact that the head of the epilator is very wide and it is very easy to use especially for the tricky spot! I like the fact that it can be used wet or dry depending on your mood and on how much time you have. I have used all the different attachments that come with this new Braun, they all do a great job in a very quick time, especially if you are used to epilators. I was keen to try the body exfoliation brush, I was expecting something more exfoliating than that, the brush is a bit too soft for me......I prefer and like something more aggressive for my body, but if this body exfoliation brush do the trick on my in-growing hairs.....I am happy to carry on using it. This new and beautiful rose-gold Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa SensoSmart™ should be in every women's bathroom. Wow! I am so impressed by it!

Forthose that don't know, an epilator is like a cross between a razor and a load of tweezers. You drag it up your legs/underarms/bikini line the same way you would shaving, but it pulls the hairs out as you go. The first time you use it, I won't lie, it's a bit like torturing yourself. But it gets the hairs, you can go back and go over any bits that you missed. This model comes with loads of interchangeable heads, I use all of them, my advice is to use it in the shower with conditioner for lubricant. And moisturise afterwards. Then use it every fortnight or as needed
