Braun Silk-épil 5-625 Power Epilator is more powerful and gentle at the same time. Great features and options in this one, my earlier version wasn't as smooth as this one!

Contained within the box was the epilator, shaver head, trimmer cap, cleaning brush and the power cable. The device is able to remove hair 0.5mm long and I find that by pulling the skin tightly it is easier for the device to glide over the skin and remove the hairs. If you haven't used one before it can be quite uncomfortable. My hair grows back very quickly so I find it best to use on day 2 after shaving, that way the hair is not too long and uncomfortable to remove and I tend to do it after a bath so that the pores are open and it also provides time for the skin to calm down if you complete the process in the evening. This also boasts 28 tweezers to provide effective hair removal. This was very easy to use and clean and provided long lasting hair removal and I would definitely recommend.

It is incredibly painful(!), however, it is also easy and highly effective. The instructions are easy to follow and the kit itself is simple and of high quality. I used the the shaved head included before using the epilator so that my hairs were at the recommended length for removal. I think it is brilliant that this is included in the set as you will use it and need it. I do think the shaved head is useful but it was not the most efficient I have used, I had to stop and clean the hairs out repeatedly and it was slow to get through an area on my body. The epilator however is 5* and when incorporating the 2 speed settings for removal has fantastic removal coverage and speed. My hairs have started to grow back 1.5-2 weeks later, but noticeably thinner than before (similar to the effects of waxing). I have course black hairs naturally so I am very happy with this. This epilator is great and a cost effective 1-time buy hair removal solution. My new and permanent hair removal method.

She is at an age where she can't handle having hair on here legs and arms so thought this would be a treat. When I firsy gave it to her she didn't say much and I explained I didn't mean to offend. A couple of days later after she had got use to the product she couldn't thank me enough, she even did the washing up!. She said it took a little bit of getting use to but once she got the hang of it had fantastic results and is extremely pleased with it. Build quality looks good and it feels well put together that will hopefully equal many years of use. Fantastic product! Thankyou.

The epilator comes with the cables brush to clean and shaver head. The shaver plug is European so works great in a bathroom shaver plug, unfortunately I needed to plug it in elsewhere, it is an extremely bulky plug. Once I had everything plugged in and sorted it was time to test it out, firstly the epilator. The epilator is so different to a shaver, it feels strange and is a lot harder then regular shaving. I have to say it wasn’t an enjoyable experience and not something I would do often. Then I switched to the shaver and I loved it, it can be used with it without the cover which I really liked. It is simple and the shaver works really well, cutting right down as well as a hand held razor, even better in fact. There are 2 settings, a slower or faster one, which is great. I have used it on arms, legs and other areas and it is able to get into the areas normal razors can’t always get to. I think for me the only downfall is that it is cabled, if it was cordless it would be almost perfect! I really like this shaver, not the epilator, it works well and does what I need it to. I would definitely recommend it.

I have never used an epilator before so I was a bit nervous about what to expect pain wise, it is a little painful at first especially in areas like my thighs but I found that I quickly got used to it and as long as I followed the instructions and kept the skin taut it wasn't too bad. It removed even the shortest hairs quickly and the light is very useful for finding every hair. I used the trimmer and shaver on my bikini line and armpits and they worked amazingly too. I am going to be buying one for my daughter who is new to shaving and nervous of cutting herself, I know she will feel much happier using the shaver attachment for this product instead of a razor. The only thing I would change is that it doesn't come with a bag/case for storage but other than that this is brilliant and I would definitely recommend it to others.

It has a handy little light on it to see what your getting. I used this on my legs bikini line and underarms.

She was extremely pleased and impressed and highly recommends.. The first time she used this epilator it left her skin feeling smooth and soft. The light on the epilator is really good and clear to see what your doing and It's quick at removing even the tiniest of hairs.. compare to her previous one this epilator is thinner and longer and also she mentioned it was less noisy and works much better and efficient.!

It shaving ability with the shaver head gives good results. I didn’t get on so well with the epilator. While it does get rid of some of the hairs it didn’t leave me feeling smooth like with razor or shaver. That said I think over time it might be more effective.

The hair removal process was relatively pain free and it effectively removed even short hairs. Clean-up was also simple using the provided brush. It could however be improved by including a travel / storage bag. I didn't get on with the shaver head or trimmer cap so will most likely not use these going forward.
