How long do Braun cleaner cartridges last?

We recommend changing the Braun cleaner cartridge as soon as the current one has run out of Braun electric shaver cleaning solution. Depending on how frequently you clean and recharge your electric shaver and whether or not it still has lots of hair attached to its head when you do so, the length of time you can expect your cartridge to last will vary. Typically, you can expect your cartridge to last for at least two months before a new one needs to be installed in your SmartCare Centre.

Can I refill my Braun cleaning cartridge?

It is not recommended that you attempt to refill a spent or partially used Braun cleaning cartridge with any Braun shaver cleaning solution. These are self-contained Braun shaving solution cartridges which contain a carefully prepared fluid. As such, they are not refillable with any other cleaning solution which, necessarily, would not contain the required lubricants that are used to maintain your shaver's blades and help reduce friction when shaving. When your SmartCare Centre or Clean & Charge station needs more Braun shaving solution, simply replace the entire cartridge.

Is the cleaning solution in these Braun cartridges suitable for sensitive skin and do they contain known allergens?

The Braun 3-in-1 ShaveCare cleaning solution contains alcohol which can be rinsed off after cleaning your electric shaver head, if wanted. Like all of our shaving accessories, these Braun cartridges have been designed to suit all skin types. Even though the Braun cleaning solution isn't applied to the face, only to the shavers it cleans, the automatic process makes for a more hygienic shaver head. As such, 3-in-1 ShaveCare cartridges are suited to people with all sorts of skin types, including potentially sensitive skin. There are no known allergens used in the production of these Braun cleaner cartridges.
