I have researched and followed loads of different shaving methods over the years and tried so many different blade and electric products and thought I had found the best in the Wilkinson Sword 5 blade razor. That was the closest and most comfortable shave so far. Then I bought this: the Braun S3 S3040s. Totally matches it on shave and even closer still. I have zero irritation where the blade still on occasion did. And cleaning the electric razor is so easy with the wet dry capacity.

I purchased this to replace the Remington I'd been using for years, in comparison, it doesn't shave as close but the main problem is that unlike the Remington, this packs in when the Battery is down and doesn't work when connected during charging, so I'm left half shaved until it recharges !

The most comfortable electric shaver I have ever used. Have now thrown out (for recycling) two previous shavers.

This is a really good shaver. It shavers very closely without causing any skin irritation. It is important to use the correct shaving technique in order to obtain the best results. Just shave against the grain of your beard growth using short, straight strokes. I shave the sensitive areas first before the shaver heats up and there's no need to press down hard on the skin. Voila!

Generally a good product, but the battery cannot be replaced. It's rechargeable, but like all rechargeable batteries it can only be charged a limited amount of time.

My partner tested the product. Braun Serie3-3040s look good as very expensive product , blue inlay on the traditional black exterior give the Braun a little bit cool/funky look. Feels comfortable in the hand whilst shaving, I think is quite light and is nicely balanced. It was super quick for me to shave. I use it dry and it gives me a really close shave with no nicks or irritation. It only take me a few minutes to shave. I used Braun in the shower – fantastic results a swell- smooth skin. My previous shaver was Braun 340 and I can say that this Serie3-3040s is a far superior model, much faster than 340.I have used this shaver a few times now and I am 100% satisfied. Braun Serie3-3040s gives you quick and perfect shave. I will highly recommend to everyone.

Comfortable and close shave. Was happy with it but it suddenly stopped charging one day within a few months of use. Can't find the receipt so can't claim under warranty.

I have been electric shaving for fourty years and this shaver is good for the purpose. Provided I use a good pre-electric shave lotion, it is efficient, smooth and pretty swift. However, the trimmer is not up to being used. I very rarely need to use the trim function, but on both of the 3040s I have had, the trimmer blade and holder have aged and broken away from the main section of the slider. If I was using it daily, as you should be able, it would have broken earlier.

I was bought my shaver for fathers day last year, and I have used it more than my razor as it gives such a close shave, and as I have to go away a lot with my work it's erect to keep my face clean shaven. Perfect for every day use.
