After using the Silk expert pro 5 I can say it doesn't work. I have not obtained miraculous results.

I was apprehensive about the pain and ease of using IPL as I've been waxing for years, and it was amazing - completely pain free and the instructions were so easy to understand I don't know why I ever worried. I've followed the 1 session for 6 weeks programme and the results have been so much better than I could have expected - even with light hair this product has been amazing. I've recommended it to lots of friends because I've been so impressed - wished I'd known about this years ago!

This product is amazing - I have been waxing for years and was quite wary of changing, but the IPL has given me better results than I could have wished for. At first I was apprehensive on how to use it and the potential pain, however it was completely pain free and the instructions were 100% clear and helpful. I stuck to the once a week programme for 6 weeks and it made such a difference - i've told all my friends how amazing the device is because I was so impressed. The process itself doesn't take long, and is much easier than I was expecting.

I absolutely love this product. Very easy to use, not painful at all and most importantly it works wonders! After using it every week , I've noticed that my hair growing way slower than previously. There is definitely less hairs on my legs. Product very easy to use. It's takes few minutes after the shower or bath to go over my legs, arms, underarms and bikini line with my IPL machine. This product is perfect in every aspect. I only had to shave once a fortnight. Hopefully soon I will be able to ditch my razor for good!

What a great beauty tool! It really does work!! It takes a bit of getting used to, but if you stick to the routine (the app helps), then really works. This reduces hair growth, and any hair remaining was very thin and light in colour. It saved me so much time and money. It has quite a bright light so I recommend doing it during the day and in a lit up room so your eyes dont absorb the flashes. Also, if you ever get sore or dry skin after, use pure aloe vera.

This has been ideal, I have been using it for 4 weeks and already getting results. I normally shave my face atleast twice a week to remove my dark hairs, soon hopefully I won't need to shave at all saving me time and embarrassment. Also ideal time of year to have used it as summer is coming up I don't have to worry about planning to shave my legs and underarms depending on what I am wearing. The machine its self is easy to use and convenient being able to use it at a time that fits in to my life style. However the app is pants quite frankly the videos didn't work, it doesn't send reminders when you are due for your next round of treatments and doesn't let you update the treatment if you done it the day before and forgot to input it so if you are forgetful like my it's best to choose a day you know you'll always have time to do it on. Apart from that I would fully recommend this product to anyone who wants a more permanent hair reduction method of hair removal!!

I have been using this for 5 weeks now.
Pros-
1- it is easy to use literally just plug in and go.
2- I’ve noticed most difference on my underarms which is amazing.
3- it is completely painless- at least for me it was even on high intensity setting.
4- it’s compact, easy to clean and pack away.
Cons.
1- the app is infuriating - can’t get the videos to play in English despite setting language to English- everything in German.
2- you have to hold the on button on the whole time to get the light flashes, my hand is sore by the end.
3- it does not take 5 mins- allow 20 mins.
4-it takes some time to see results so be patient
5- I feel parts of my body are being kissed because as I glide the device over my body the flashes aren’t keeping up with me quick enough even if I go slow.
However I have noticed hair growing back more slowly and for sure this will save so much money at the salon. I would recommend this product to anyone and tell them to be patient- I hope Braun take on the feedback too.

An absolutely brilliant product. Yes, its quite pricey, but its well worth it in the long run. The things I love the most about the device is of course number 1 being that its pain free and also the minimal effort that you need to put in to using it to get results you want. The IPL technology is pretty darn smart as it caters perfectly to your skin tone to enable you to get the best results adapted to you. Once you plug in the Braun IPL device it gives you the option of three different settings (1 = least intense which would suit sensitive skin, 2 = average light which would suit normal skin and 3 = most intense which would suit those who have already experienced the IPL technology).Having used waxing and epilators in the past I opted for level 2 and I felt this was perfect for me. I will note that its best to take your time removing any unwanted hair prior to using your Braun device as the intense light will just singe the hair and therefore may not work as intended although if it does do this it is completely painless, just not a very desirable smell. The clever technology can tell when its in contact with your skin as when it's in contact with your skin it'll pulse a continuous light as you glide it along the chosen path so you'll know if you're doing it correctly by the lack of flashing. I've been using the Braun IPL pro 5 for about 5 weeks now and after using it once a week during that time I've already noticed that not only has the amount of hair growing reduce by half, but the hair itself is much finer and far less noticeable. All in all I'm very impressed and I reckon after a few more months of use my unwanted hair will be 99% eradicated.

The Braun IPL Silk Expert Pro 5 PL 5014 is such an amazing bit of kit, it has revolutionised my hair removal regime. From as earliest I can remember having very dark hair and mediteranean skin fighting the fuzz from puberty has always been an expensive and obsessive battle ... but not no more the product is a gift from gods!!
At first I was anxious, and worried the intense pulse light would be excrutiating and that i would be sat arched over the toilet for hours trying to rid the 'forest' of hairs that sprout back after 5 minutes of shaving - but not that wasnt the case!!
The intense pulse light was not one bit painful for the low pain thresholds amongst us id say a slight tingle at most! and I pretty much finished my whole body in less than 35 minutes on my first attempt ! result from a novice who just had to read the easy to follow instructions once - no war and peice manual here thankgod !! in the privacy of my own bedroom and without the beauty salon bills x 5. Coming on the 6 th week of using this product and let me tell you sceptics please sit down- I have only shaved my legs 3 times in the period - whereby the hir on regrowth is considerable slow and lethargic on returning and less coarse, the sensoadapt really works - i have darker areas of skin due to melanin clusters and many a holiday missed sun protection areas and the ipl picks this up contiuously through the treatment - so very impressed !! it feels like i can trust what it is doing without too much worry!! An added bonus is that it has fixed unsightly in growing hairs which i was plagued with after constant shaving - and reduced scarring due to this!!! because of this product I am looking forward to a hairless summer !! Really impressed by the product, i will not be retruning to the salon for endless painful waxing , threading shaving laser treatments- this is my firm favourite and cannot recommend enough!
