I was a bit skeptic about using such a product as I suffer with quite fast hair regrowth. Honestly I can see the results already within 4 weeks! It’s such an easy thing to use and the app that you can download on phone has been a life saver to remind me of when I need to do a treatment. I’m yet to see the full result on my legs but under arms hair is visibly reducing along with other problematic areas. Thank you Braun for inventing this, I shall be recommending it to everyone!

I’m three weeks in and already seeing results! Smaller areas such as underarm where “stamping technique” was used I can see a massive improvement 90% hair reduction from the start. For larger areas arms/ legs used the “gliding technique” Which was a tad tricker to get the hang of as the speed of the light pulses and slowly moving along but after second use was perfect, you just need to keep an eye on the light indicators at each side so if the connection is lost and can’t detect skin will show red rather than white and at the intensity. But overall really simple to use. Again with awkward areas ankle/knee just use the stamping technique.
I’ve used it once a week on legs, arms and underarm and I’m really pleased with the results so far!

I was at the stage of despair when I found this product, I'd had issues with facial hair- my chin in particular, that hadn't gone away with the popular methods of waxing, plucking and using facial hair removal cream. I'm olive skinned and my facial hair is black and thick so super obvious..

It honestly takes me about 5-10 minutes per session which I've been doing now for just over 4 weeks. By week 2 I got worried as there seemed to be no change and for someone who likes instant results I got concerned- I was desperate to go back to plucking but it had already ruined my skin and damaged my self confidence that I made myself persevere, and I'm glad I did.
By week 3 the hairs started falling out and the patch on my chin became patchy growth and less thick- I actually couldn't believe it.
After 6 years of damaging my skin with creams and plucking I was free!
The actual IPL doesn't hurt and has a handy little sensor that tells you before you go to the effort of trying to use the light if your skin is correctly connected, and If the intensity is too much you can manually turn it down until you build up your own level of tolerance towards it.
The device itself is a plugged in device which is reassuring as you don't want to keep swapping batteries every time and the cable is very long- so don't worry about not being able to reach your legs or stretch up to your face as there's plenty of room.
I've also tried this device on my underarms and it's made the hair really fine and growing back in patches- it's unbelievable how much it's changed over four weeks and not to mention what it's done for my confidence, I'm no longer constantly checking my face for bumps or stubble and checking for ingrown hairs because there aren't any!
This product has changed my life, my mum has similar issues so I'm going to be recommending this to her next! It's given me so much more than hair reduction, it's given me that self esteem boost I'd been praying for for years! Thanks Braun!

Brain ipl treatment - I received this kit to test out!! I have now been using it for 3 weeks! I have very dark hair so I didn’t have much faith in this at first plus I’ve only ever shaved or waxed. Been to nervous to test our LASER TREATMENT!! well this is something I’ve never experienced before! It is the ultimate pain free hair removal device beauty MUST HAVE!! It has a sensitivity button so you can slide to adjust to your skin. I used to have to shave every other day my hair grows that quick but after 3 weeks of using this I can notice the difference already the hair isn’t growing back as quick as it used to and some places it isn’t growing back at all. The laser doesn’t give of any sort of sting or tingle. And it’s so easy to use. The instructions are very detailed. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting permanent hair removal. Also with having this you can use it on multiple areas of the body not just your legs. I love this product and will never change it. It defiantly is a beauty MUST HAVE! And don’t worry men you can use this aswell it’s not just a product for women :)

I have quite dark hair and pale skin... Have been using for 4 weeks and there is a massive change already! Have been using it once a week on my legs, arms, under arms and bikini line. I'm at the point now where i can see hairs have not grown back! I love it! Its so convenient to do, easy to use. There is some bits it hurts a bit. But mostly it is not uncomfortable. The overall look of it is nice and modern and the case is nice, and it's easy to hold. Here's some constructive criticism.. Only because I'm picky, hence why I still give 5 stars, is that its very bright and kind of think for the price a pair of little goggles or something could have been thrown in (not too dissimilar to the ones in tanning shop) but I remedied that with sunglasses. And also a lint free cloth could have been chucked in too for cleaning, but again thats just me being picky. But overall an amazing home beauty product. It works for me very well and have recommended this to friends and my mum.

I was slightly dubious when I read the claims and thought "yeah, ok, whatever!" I let my hair grow out as I was waiting on receiving the item for free to test. So there I am sat, legs that resemble something like a Yeti and started to read the manual. Remove the hair with the razor enclosed or your normal method. Oh brilliant! That was my first mistake then. I proceeded to follow the instructions and found it really easy to use. It's not heavy and it's really fast. I have used devices similar to this in the past and you had to individually do each hair. What a nightmare that was. This is far superior technology now and I found that, with a weekly top up, I have noticed a great reduction in hair growth. I am about 4 weeks in now and it's taken this long to notice that difference. I look forward to the continued results. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars for value is that it is very expensive but then you do need to weigh up if the time saved of not constantly having to remove your hair is worth that?

I tried the Silk Expert pro 5 PL5014, very good quality product, very easy to handle and it’s very fast, I have PCOS and I have a lot of hair on my body, after 4 weeks can’t believe my eyes, so much improvement, my hair is not growing that fast like before and very much reduced the quantity of hair from my legs ,arms and face, first time using this kind of product and I’m very happy with it, I will use it every week until my hair will be gone 🙂

Ever since I was young, I have struggled with thicker than average hair on my body and face. It always made me feel conscious so I shaved it off as soon as I was old enough to, which always irritated my skin. I knew at some point I wanted some more permanent hair removal but was unsure of what method would be best. However using the Braun Silk expert 5 has changed my life. In terms of appearance, it arrives in an amazing quality pouch which looks relatively small but holds all the essentials easily. It also arrived with a gilette razor so you can get started straight away. The machine itself has a sleek white and rose gold finish. It is the perfect size and weight to hold in your hand and use with ease. The Silk expert 5 has 10 intensity settings and 3 modes of comfort – normal, gentle and extra gentle. I have owned the IPL machine for 4-5 weeks and carried out 4 treatments in this time. It is advised to use the app which can let you know when to carry out your treatment. I expected it to be painful however I was pleasantly surprised. Even on the higher mode, you can feel the warmth but no pain whatsoever! The fast IPL system means it is so easy to glide whilst carrying out the treatment. It took me just a few minutes to carry out the treatment on both legs. I found that the advantages for me were:- -	Super quick to use
-	Lightweight and easy to hold
-	Extremely effective results
-	Long lasting results
-	Almost pain free
-	Able to carry out treatments in comfort of my own home depending on my own availability
I would definitely recommend this IPL machine as it had changed my life. However the only disadvantage is that as it does not arrive with the smaller precision head (which is compatible), it would be amazing to be able to purchase this for use on smaller areas. The standard head is amazing for use all over the body. However smaller places like the upper lip were a bit difficult to treat, It still works but I found I had missed certain small sections. Overall, I am extremely impressed and I am so glad I do not have to suffer through the pain of waxing or the discomfort of shaving ever again. I would like to clarify that I received this product in exchange for an honest and an unbiased review. This has in no way impacted the amazing results I have seen!

I am very impressed by this IPL. This is a lot smaller and lighter than my other devices, and a bit more user friendly. It has an app where you can follow your treatments which is fantastic because it gives you reminders of when to do your next one, which has been great.
The package is impressive, i like the fact that it comes with a razor to get you started, plus a great sturdy pouch to keep everything in. The product also comes with a 2-3 pin continental/uk plug, thank you Braun, This means that not only could i use it straight away, i can also take it on holiday with me.
So in use.
It’s very easy to use, I love how it reads the skin and just zap away the unwanted hair. Best used in sunlight. I also liked how it can be used on the lower face areas just need to practice more, especially upper lip area. I have definitely noticed the difference especially on my arms have no hairs, will keep using it saves so much time in the long run
Overall i am extremely impressed with this, it does show visible results, but you do have to do it every 2 weeks to maintain it and stop the hair growing back.

Ive used the braun ipl for 4 weeks and the results are amazing! Ive noticed that the there are deduction of hair growth in my underarm, legs and upperlips. I love that i dont have facial hair anymore since its annoys me the most. There is a tiny hair growth in a span of time in my underarm but since ive only used it for 4 weeks i think with the continues use then it will vanish in no time. The ipl itself is handy and easy to use. Just plug and click. Easy to store as well since it comes with a cute little bag where its protected too. Small enough that it fits on my bedside table. Overall, the experience is great and visible!
