This is the first time that I have tried a hair remover like this before. I have either shaved or used an epilator. On using this I can't see myself using anything but this from now on. I have even had family and friends round to try it out. I got the one with only the large area treatment and to be honest I found it hard at times even on my legs as the 2 sides couldn't detect skin touching so I had to do places using it sidewards. I think all should come with the smaller head too. But apart from that I can't say anything bad about this product and even though it is a bit expensive it is a product that actually works and I would recommend it to anyone.

I am 29..a breastfeeding mom(its safe) with fair color and dark thick hairs covering face and overall body..not just legs and hands..even on feets..i knew even i spend everything on my ipl treatment i wont be able to satisfy from all the areas of my body covering hairs..so few years ago just after 5 treatment i gave up..because it was expensive..then i got this product..then i realized its exactly what i needed..it looks quiet stylish product just by looks..easy grip..one time investment but WHAT A GREAT RESULT..just after 3rd time use i realized my hairs growth became veryyy slow..and they were not even growing from all the areas where they used to grow..its been one week since i shaved..and i dont need to shave now..otherwise i was such a hairy person who needed shave every other day..its very easy to use..hardly takes 15 min to do my legs arms face under arms tummy...as i said my hairs are thick and dark color so might absorb more light thats why i need to set EXTRA GENTLE mode where hairs are thick...i cannot explain how much my life has become easy..wax made loads of mess and very time consuming..and shaving had temporary result...thanks to braun for such product which is very conveinent to use and has great result

I absolutely love my silk expert pro 5. I am on the fifth week of owning it and have never gone so long between shaves. My legs are smooth and hair free it has however taken a little longer to work well with my under arm hair. I wish I had tried one earlier as it would have saved me a lot of hassle. It is easy to use and to follow the instructions which are very clear. The lead is lovely and long and the storage case is perfect.

On trying the braun IPL It has a large enough treatment head to do really big areas like legs and underarms and is light and comfortable to hold despite its relatively large size. It’s the first IPL system I’ve used where the machine sets the treatment level for you based on individual readings of your skin tone - all the other machines require you to input the appropriate level yourself. The output continually adjusts as you go round your body, with bars lightening up on the unit to indicate the power level the machine has selected for you.If you hold the button down continually and move the treatment head over your skin, the Braun will fire repeatedly without you having to press and release over and over again,, which makes any treatment extremely fast. You also don’t need to use cooling gel, unlike some other models. My results after 4 weeks is amazing a definite must have for any beauty gurus looking at trying new hair removal products. 5 stars from me.

I’ve been using this device for about 4 weeks carrying out a weekly treatment. I’ve tried lots of other hair removal methods especially on my biggest problem area chin/jaw line and this is the best by far. I’ve seen a major reduction in hair growth which has been a life changer for me. The process is quick and painless you get a light heat sensation but nothing unbearable. The glide motion for larger areas such as legs is quick and accurate. I love this product and wish I had used it sooner rather than the daily ritual of hair removal in the face.

I have been using this IPL machine for a month now and i am really impressed with the results so far. I have dark brown hair on medium skin colour and i have definitely noticed a slow down in hair growth. i have fine hair on my arms and face which has become patchy now and i believe with another few more sessions i will be hair free for longer periods of time. The IPL treatment is completely pain free and this machine is lightweight and fits nicely my hand. It took me 20 mins to do both arms, legs, face and underarms. The gliding mode is fantastic and makes a quick job of arms and legs. However i feel that this machine could do with a smaller attachment for more tricky, curvy and smaller areas, like the face. Overall i would definitely recommend and is so much better than waxing and threading!

I've been using this for about a month now and I'm very impressed with the results. I've been using this on my legs, underarms, arms and face. I've been doing one weekly session, where I treat all areas. The device is nicely made and is lightweight and very simple to use. The gliding motion means you can treat larger areas like legs and arms very quickly by just gliding along the skin.
The treatment is completely pain free, I can sometimes feel a little bit of warmth but that is all. Usually when I shave I have stubble within a couple of days. But after 4 weeks of using IPL I've noticed a huge slow down in hair growth. On my face, my upper lip hair has stopped growing. My upper lip hair is something I've felt very self conscious about and over the years I've spent a lot of time, energy and money removing it. So to be hair free now, is amazing. I'm going to continue with my weekly treatments and hope that I see some more amazing results on the rest of my body.

Honestly I love this product I am three weeks in and my hair regrowth is changing. I feel like for the first time my hair is not growing back as quickly as it previously did . This product is revolutionary I feel now more confident for summer and what is to come . I have tried similar products but I feel like this one is a massive improvement It is easy to use powerful and it stays plugged in and therefore charged when using it . It is a big purchase but it is definitely worth the money I would highly recommend it .

The Silk-Pro 5 PL 5014 is an IPL machine that I’ve been using for the last four weeks. I’ve been treating my underarm, full arm and hands. You get you a nice grey travel bag, one Gillette Venus razor and Braun Silk-Pro 5. The bag easily fits the machine and charger. The machine itself is quite light and not bulky at all so you can take this on holiday if you chose to do so. It’s not wireless so when having treatments you will need to plug into a socket. The design of the machine is really nice, modern, light and detailed. The colour white and gold is very nice and doesn’t get dirty at all. The machine itself is really easy to use, best to read the instruction provided, but it’s fairly simple to use and probably one of the easiest product I’ve used in a while. The performance of the machine is really good, it’s a fast IPL technology is great and the gliding mode is really great and easy to use. It’s a safe product to use as the machine continuously detects your skin colour and adapts the light intensity. There are three energy settings, which are 1, 2 and 3. The first setting you feel no pain and doesn’t hurt at all. The second setting doesn’t hurt either, but the light intensity is a bit higher and I currently use the second setting. The third setting is a bit painful and light intensity is higher, but this depends on whether you’re using the third setting. I tried the third setting under my arm and I found it a bit painful whereas when using on my arms and I didn’t find it that painful. I wouldn't say I've had permanent hair reduction in just four weeks, but there has been a reduction in hair growth. I will continue to use this product for the next couple of months, I do a weekly session and after 12 weeks I'll be doing a session twice a month. After that, it will depend on my hair growth. I've been using the Braun Silk-Pro IPL app for planning and treating my treatments. It's not the best of app to use, it crashes quite a lot, the videos don't work and quite slow in use. I will likely stop using the app and just use my own calendar to keep track of the treatments. Advantages are:

Take less than 10 minutes for certain areas to be done

Doesn’t take too long to be done. Disadvantages:
Light is really bright
The app itself is not great at all to use and I wouldn’t recommend using the app. It requires major changes. Overall it’s a great product to use and I would recommend this product. I will do another review after a few months and then I can give a detailed review of the hair growth.

I was so nervous before trying the product as didn’t quite know what to expect. I was pleasantly shocked how easy and simple it was. Being a mum of a toddler I needed something that doesn’t take up too much time, but I could put my little boy to bed have a shower & laser my legs & still have time to relax. I was also worried about the pain, again surprised it was pain free. I’ve been using this for 4 weeks now and already can see an improvement and my hair growth has defiantly slowed down, I can’t wait to continue using it and continue to see excellent results.
