With a missing patch on my box beard I realised I needed to shave in order for my hair to regrow thicker and fuller to reach it's potential, however far to afraid to use use a razor against my face incase I were to cut myself, I've just been using the foil shaving attachment on my beard trimming kit. Even then my face is quite sensitive as I would develop shaving spots. Thanks to the SensoFoil on the new Braun series 3 I've managed to achieve a clean shave without any razor burn or shaving spots at all! Being an owner of a couple Braun products already (Braun Oral B professional 1000 electric toothbrush & Braun Cruzer 6 Body groomer) I knew wouldn't​ be disappointed due to Brauns solid German build quality. Being only £29.99 the shaver has a stealth black aesthetic with that quality weighty feeling in your hands without feeling like a chore to hold during the shaving process, the handset also has a great ergonomic feel with dimples perfectly positioned for resting your fingers and palm on and a soft touch rubber gripping on the front so the shaver doesn't slip out your hand. The Smart plug charger has a neat little feature automatically converting the voltage from 100-240volts so you don't have to worry about any conversion plugs when it comes to charging abroad. With a shaving period of 20 minutes on a full charge of 4 hours, I managed to get 4 shaves out of the shaver with consistent power, however even when you've completely run out of juice and you need that emergency shave before you leave the house a quick 5 minute charge is sufficient for a shave, which is pretty brilliant for someone like me who's always in a hurry. With the ability to shave wet&dry it's ideal for those quick early morning dry shaves by the sink or even them relaxed shaves lathered up in shaving gel in the shower getting the precision you need every time. The shaving head itself has 3 points of contact each adjusting to every contour of your face with every stroke making sure there's no area on your face left untouched. When your done there's a handy protective cap to prevent any damages to the shaving head. Having a cradle or a charging dock to hold it upright in the bathroom would've been the cherry on top but then again for a great value of £29.99 you can't really knock it! I honestly can't say I have anything negative to say about the Braun series 3 300s and I would definitely recommend it to those with sensitive skin who are after a quality shave from a foil shaver that's​ built to last.

For the small price of £29.99 this incluedes 3 pressure-sensitive shaving elements for efficiency and skin comfort, fully rechargeable via included cable and waterproof capabilities. I have been impressed from the start.. The shave is clean, smooth and doesn't tug on your hair like many of my previous rotary shavers have done. I am prone to razor burn and thus have carefully wet shaved for years, but I have no problem with this. And happily use it every day. It is a shame it doesn't include different grade guards for beard trimming, but at this price I cant complain. Would recommend!

This did not give a clean shave at all and had to finish the job off with an alternative device. Also during the shave it actually felt like it was pulling the hairs out not shaving them. If anyone asked for my opinion into this product I would tell them to find an alternative or continue with a manual razor.

For years I was a wet, manual shave kind of guy but found I was replacing the blade every week to keep the shave close and clean. So for this reason I decided to get an electric. To date I've had 3. The first was cheap and therefore terrible. It basically pulled the hairs out and missed a quarter of them. The next was good, powerful but the battery lasted 2 shaver at most. Then i got the Series 3. When I first picked it up, I thought it felt a bit light and may not be powerful enough to provide a proper shave. However I charged it up and gave it a go and it was fantastic. It was so quick and gave such a clean and smooth shave I was very impressed My previous shavers I've had to go over bits time and time again to ensure all the hairs were gone but with this it took 1 slow movement to ensure it was done. Even the tricky to get top lip was easy as the design of the shaver made it easy with no pain at all. The best part is the cleaning. Just run it under a tap and that's it. No needing to brush it clean. The battery has lasted hours so far on one charge so very happy. Overall I would fully recommend this shaver, it's ideal and a great price.

I get a nice close shave everyday, and if I'm running late, it's waterproof, so I can shower and shave together. It is also of a good build quality, this has been tested, as my middle name is butterfingers! It features the same pressure sensitive elements as featured on the more expensive Braun models, and does just as good a job. It also comes boxed with a protective cap and a "smart plug" to fit bathroom sockets (self adjusting for 100-240v), handy for holidays! It comes with 2 rechargeable long-life NiMH batteries, so you can go for ages without having to recharge. A really great product, especially for the price tag!

Its chunky and robust but light weight and feels good to hold and feels very well made. It gives a very close shave which I was impressed with as I've had electric razors in the past that have left patchy stubble. It does however have it's drawbacks hence the 4/5 score, it doesn't handle longer stubble well so to truly get the most out of this shaver make sure you to clipper longer beard hair before shaving. It does have some awesome features however which redeem it like it being fully waterproof so can be used in the shower. In the box you get the shaver, protective cap and a charger cable.

It provides an extremely close shave that I think rivals a manual blade. The battery life is good. I've had six shaves so far without needing to recharge it. The three pressure sensitive shaving elements means even someone as useless as me can easily use it to get a very nice shave. It's even impressive after you've finished shaving. It's waterproof, so can be washed straight under the tap. I believe it can even be used to shave while it the shower, but I haven't been brave enough to try that! The "smart plug" is a very nice added bonus. It can be used in 100-240 voltage plugs, so is ideal for a travel shaver as it can be used all over the world in any plug. There are a couple of negatives however that stop me from giving it five out of five. Firstly I couldn't use it with a long beard. I found it struggled with the long hairs and ended up pulling at them which was unpleasant. A quick once over from my trimmer however, and it was good to go. Finally I was a bit disappointing that it didn't come with a bag to store it all in, especially as it would be ideal as a travel shaver with the 100-240 voltage plug.

[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] Firstly, let me prefix everything I have to say on the shaver with the fact that I rarely shave, as such the test I gave it was probably the "worst case" you could really throw at it, a closest-setting trimmed beard. Certainly more than a few days growth, which I expect is more the "norm". The packaging was nice and stylish, everything was presented well and arrived safely. The device itself was very minimalist in its design; a simple on/off button and a power/charging indicator light. It felt nice and light in my hand, perfect for taking on trips without weighing you down, yet enough weight to feel solidly built. The shave it gave was incredible, especially when you consider the cost of the device, it performed at least as well as a shaver that cost 10x the amount! The shave was very close, very rapid and completely without irritating my skin. Cleaning it was a breeze thanks to it being a simple washable shaver, a quick run under the tap and it was spotless. Though I did note that if needed the blades could be separated and cleaned a bit more thoroughly. All in all, for the price it really can't be faulted, sure you can pay 10x more and get self cleaning shavers, etc. but for a great portable and performing shaver, look no further!

It is a standard box with some green and black design and a picture of the shaver on the front...yey. On opening the box and pulling the tray out, everything has its place in the packaging. You get the shaver, foil guard and power lead. The power lead is a nice coiled, springy cable that you can extend slightly if required. Holding the shaver, it is nicely weighted, not too heavy that it would be too much to take on your travels but heavy enough to give you confidence in its build quality. There are good quality plastics around the edge with a grippy rubber going through the middle, front and back. Operating the shaver was simple with an on/off button and a battery indicator on the front. When I switched it on, there was quite a loud buzzing, that could certainly be heard outside of a closed door. The vibration of the device is minimal. Shaving with the Braun is simple, mainly thanks to it balanced weight. The only quibble was that I had to go over the same spot numerous times before it got rid of the hair right down to my skin level, we are not talking about a really long beard either, about a centimetre or so long. This did cause me to have some skin irritation on my neck after I had finished. The finished product was quite good. A nice close shave and it did, eventually, get rid of all my beard. Cleaning the product was less awkward that the shave. I just ran it under the tap and rubbed it with my finger tip. Most of the hair fell out just with the water. To sum up, a nicely, packaged, well made and balanced product.
