[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] WHAT’S IN THE BOX Opening the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT, the first thing I was struck by is how compact everything is. You get a full electric shaver, precision trimmer AND basically a pair of clippers in a small box about the size of an A4 piece of paper. The shaver itself is a good, solid size, fairly weighty in your hands but immediately feeling comfortable right away. The ergonomics of the design felt really impressive, and the soft grip was noticeable as soon as I picked it up. I was really pleased with the feel of the shaver. You also get the usual micro brush for cleaning the shaver head, and interchangeable clip for trimming, and 5 different comb clips – from numbers 1 to 5 – so you can style your beard, sideburns, even the hair on your head to the length you want. They come with a small plastic bag to keep them all together, but I didn’t think this was particularly impressive compared with the design of the shaver. There was also no case for the shaver, which could have been a nice addition. You get a standard charger the shaving outlet plug – so if you want to charge if via a regular plug, you’ll need an adapter. I always find this annoying, as I think shaving plugs are outdated – especially in homes. Personally, I think adapters should be included. But I did like the springy cord that was on the charger – this means you can stretch and pull as needed, without having to worry about wires getting tangled – a simple but effective touch. PREPARATION AND CHARGING The charger comes with some charge on it, so you can get stuck in straight away. I also really liked that it does have a quick charge function too – so if you’ve forgotten to charge it but are in rush, you only need to plug it in for 5 minutes to get enough battery power for a full shave. This makes a difference. The full charge is also fairly quick too, only taking a couple of hours, and from what I’ve seen after two weeks of using, the battery power lasts a long time. Even when it starts flashing red, you’ve got a least another couple of shaves before it goes dead. The shaver is best used on dry skin – which means it’s simple to just pick up and start using – ideal for anyone short on time. You can also use it wet as well, so it’s great for use in the shower too. To use the trimmer or comb attachments, you do need to change the head of the shaver completely, pulling off the foil razor and attaching the trimmer head. This is quick to do, but I did find getting the trimmer head off the and foil back on was sometimes a bit tricky – it doesn’t seem to squeeze from the sides as easy as going about it the other way around. Once you have the trimmer head on, attached the combs is really simple – they just slide on or off. Because there isn’t a huge difference between the sizes, you will need to look carefully at the numbers – they’re engraved in black on black combs so could be difficult to read – perhaps if they were white it would be easier. THE SHAVE On to the shave itself, and I have no complaints at all. For the first time with any electric or manual razor, I can completely shave, trim and style my full beard without needed to use two different devices. I use one of the combs to get the length I want, switch down to the precision trimmer to shorten my moustache and define some clear lines, and then change the head to the foil shaver to get a close shave across my neck. The shaver feels great in your hand, a really impressive ergonomic design, and the razor is designed well to glide across the skin – with each attachment doing its job. THE RESULTS I’ve been using the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT for over two weeks now, and have been extremely impressed. I love the trimmer and comb attachements – it’s perfect for anyone with a moderate beard that wants to keep it neat and in check. I’ve used both wet and dry, and it hasn’t caused any kind of irritation or blemishes on my skin. The only downside I’ve found is that if you miss a longer hair with the precision trimmer, the foil shaver will likely glide over and won’t get it – so you need to swap back to trimmer head to get it. This can be a little frustrating if you’re in a rush. So with a few minor tweaks and improvements to the attachments, perhaps an integrated trimmer for the hairs you miss, this shaver would be outstanding. As it stands though, it’s still an extremely competent, all in one shaver that does exactly what you need it to. Whatever amount of growth you have – this is the trimmer for you! Definitely recommended.

[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] Quickly to start, I got the Braun Series3 3010BT Wet & Dry and had to try it immediately. I had been letting my beard grow out by a bit too much. First of all, the shaver has a bit of heft to it, it feels well built as soon as you hold the thing. So do the attachments, most of this kit feels very well made. I recommend this kit wholeheartedly. I need to get what I didn't like out of the way. The precision head isn't good at getting little hairs off of my hand or shaved stubble. The strangest thing about the precision head though it left weird black marks on my skin. Living in the UK without one of those bathroom plugs for shavers I had to buy one of those British to European plugs. When taking off the heads, the three prongs inside jump up a little making it seem like it might break. Lastly, the shaving heads, apart from being a little tricky to get off, are a little too short for the style I prefer. Four combs, ranging from 1,2mm to 7mm. It's nothing a bit of patience can't fix. The good now, and there is a lot of it. Going from a full beard, a few inches thick and beginning to curl to nice and short took no effort. Put the shaver on charge for five minutes like the box said and I was shaving for the better part of an hour. (Including trying it out on my leg and hand, for testing.) It feels incredibly nice to use, I've tried shavers from 8 to 30 pound ones and they felt shaky in comparison. This doesn't dance in your hand or need to be fought with. I waited until my beard began to lose its shape from the first shave and cleaned it up, the shaver handled it, easy. The shaver takes at most 10 minutes to give you a full shave if you're being picky about length like me, a minute or two tops for a clean shave like I do on my neck. It caused no irritation or itchy spots. I love the kit, despite a handful of shortcomings, I'm incredibly pleased with how well the Braun works. Fine to coarse hairs aren't a problem and using the trimmer head without a comb fantastic on stubble. Cleaning the shaver took less than a minute, because of the flat design. The brush got any hairs trapped inside out in a few brushes as well from the inside of the heads and combs. I've already recommended this to friends with big beards and those who like a clean shave. It's easily the best shaver I've ever used.

On first glance the packaging is good and the instructions for use are easy to follow. Included in the box is a trimming attachment, five combs of different lengths 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 5mm and 7mm, a plastic guard for the foil razor, a cleaning brush, a power adapter and a storage bag for the combs The shaver itself is sleek in design and looks good in your hand and is lightweight. One early potential problem for some is that the plug to charge the grooming kit is for electric plugs found in bathrooms. Unfortunately I don't have one of these plugs in my bathroom. I had this problem with a previous shaver so already had an adapter I bought for this one. I've had a beard for a number of years and anyone who possesses a face full of hair knows that maintenance can be laborious and an annoying activity to complete. So when I was offered a grooming kit I jumped at the chance. I have tried a few in the past and have felt that they all had good qualities but I wasn't truly enamoured with any of them. Before this product I was using one to trim my beard and one to shape, so I was hoping that the functions suggested with this grooming kit would solve this for me. So on to the shave. I have never found a foil shaver that beats a razor blade and this shaver is no exception. The foil just doesn’t get close enough to remove the signs of stray hairs when attempting to shape my beard. Next was the actual beard. It took seconds to change the implements over and I was ready to go. The ease to alter the length of grooming is a great feature and one that I had to experiment with until I found the length I was after. The shaver is really easy to use and extremely manoeuvrable. It glided over my beard and I was really pleased with the end result. Flipping the comb off I then styled my beard and was done. The whole process was much quicker than my usual shave (once I discovered what length I wanted my beard) and all with one piece of kit. The shaver is charged really quickly and the battery life is excellent. I have a shaver that takes 10 hours to charge for 45 minutes of use, this shaver easily beats that. For me there are only two slight negatives to this product. The foil shaver not quite hitting the high expectations I had and the plug not having a mains adapter. Other than this, I think this is a quality piece of shaving kit and a must for beard enthusiasts.

For someone who likes to change facial lengths whether it be a light beard to a stubble, it is a great product. The only small negative point is that it isn't great for sharp precise lining along the edges.

[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] I was so excited to start using this electric Braun Series 3 Shave&Style. I have always used disposable razors as thought they gave a better result. I was amazed about the quality of the product. It is very easy to use, instructions are clear, but the most important thing is that it gives such a close, smooth result. There was no pulling sensation as the shaver tackled my facial growth giving me easily the closest shave I can recall. I love the fact that Braun Series 3 Shave&Style can be used both in wet and dry conditions. There is cleaning solution included so no further purchases are needed. The razor is very comfortable to hold and as I have sensitive skin not many razors are suitable but this one is. I would like to recommend it to everybody.

[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] Having only had this for a week I've not had a lot of opportunity to use the product, so realistically I want to start with my first impressions. Straight out of the box and this is a nice looking shaver, it's clean and modern, it comes with a decent selection of heads and combs which should give it a good level of versatility. Picking up the shaver for the first time it feels nice in the hand, there's a reasuring weight and sturdiness to the product that really gives it a feeling of quality. Normally I prefer the closeness of a wet shave but using this for the first time really surprised me, for an electric shaver this really does provide a really nice close shave. The fact that this can be used both wet and dry makes it really handy to just leave in the bathroom and pick it whenever it feels like I need a top up. Overall a fairly impressive bit of kit that performs very well. Whilst not quite as close as a wet shave the ease of use, versatility and just general usefulness of this product make it a worthy addition to anyone's bathroom routine.

[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] After using this product for a few weeks now I can say it's a decent piece of kit. Out of the box it feels sturdy and well made. Although it doesn't shave as close as wet shaving it still does a pretty good job. It only takes a few minutes to have a decent shave with it. As you can use it wet or dry is another bonus. It's at home in the bathroom or in my kit bag. The only negative I could find was it only came with a two pronged plug, and as I don't have a shaver plug socket in my bathroom it was a bit inconvenient, but as an adapter can be bought for a few pounds its not a big problem. All in all this is a good shaver that is easy to use.

[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] I tend to shave once every 10 days using a traditional wet shave method, rather than electric shaver as I have never really had satisfactory results from them. So I was intrigued to know how the Braun would handle a 10 day thick beard. The shaver arrived with the following: Braun Series 3 ProSkin razor Exchangeable shaver head Exchangeable precision trimmer 5 trimmer combs Soft bag for combs Protective cap Cleaning brush Smart plug for automatic 100-240 voltage adjustment The actual shaver is well made, feels decent quality and comes with a lot of different shave heads/combs. After a fairy quick charge I began with the beard trimmer. The various combs worked well and were easy to fit, allowing for a reasonably successful tidying of the beard. As I worked through the comb heads, I could see a difference in the amount being trimmed. Unfortunately, towards the end it got a bit too close and ended up with a patchy effect, meaning that It was time for a 'clean' shave! After a very simple switch of the shave head I began trying for a clean shave. It was much less painful than previous electric shavers that I have tested and the waterproof nature meant that it stayed clean. Unfortunately it just doesn't get close to a proper wet shave. After shaving with it I was left with a stubbly feel (like 1-2 days after a wet shave). In summary, it's a well made bit of kit and will do a good job of thinning/trimming a beard but will not do a great job in replacing a traditional wet shave for a clean feel.

[This review was submitted after receiving an incentive (coupon, discount, free sample, sweepstakes, contest with raffle etc).] ...but what hair I do have has the tendency do be rather unruly. As such, my general "man-scaping" routine varies somewhere between awkward wet shaves, haphazard pluckings, and my personal favourite; leave it until someone complains. So you can imagine my hesitance when opting to use such a professional looking multifeatured piece of grooming kit as the Braun Shave&Style. I have always thought that these electric shavers were the reserve of the real manly men, who I imagine are forced daily to use every bit of available technology to ardously reclaim their cheeks from the constant advances of their lumberjack-esque super-beards. Upon selecting the appropriate attachment I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was to get going, and before I knew it, my face was in the most presentable state is seen it in for a while. A mere matter of minutes was all it took to get myself looking clean and sharp, which usually would be good thing, although on this occasion I was left dissapointed, mainly because by this point I was enjoying my new toy, and really wanted to see what it could do. So I took it to the shower. Waterproof? Check. Easy to hold, even when wet? Affirmative. Does it cut through hair like a hot knife through butter? Not the best metaphor but yeah it does! And it's just so easy to use, I even recruited my girlfriend to get at the places I can reach, and for her to use it on me without a visit to A+E after is a testament to good design. I really couldn't find fault with it. An adapter for charging wouldn't hurt, but you can pick one up for next to nothing. Overall I have to say that I'm impressed. I've gone from thinking that if never need an electric razor, to wondering why I bothered so long without one. If you're a regular groomer who doesn't have a lot of time to spare, the Braun does everything you'd need and more. If like me (untill recently!) you think the Braun would me surplus to requirements, I urge you to give it a go. If you have more hair than you want, whether it be one or two, or a whole rugs worth, the Braun S3 might be a real game changer for you, but at the very least will shave a few minutes off your morning routine.
