I found this shaver easy to charge, set up and use. The info screen is very useful (battery life etc). One of the best features is the ability to tilt the blades at an angle and lock in place. I also like the precision trimmer. I have tried an electric shaver before but they left me with a rash. However this shaver hasn't so I was impressed. Only downside is that I didn't get as close a shave as with a razor, but this may improve with practice.This review was collected as part of a promotion.

Having used this shaver a few times both wet and dry shaving, I have to say that I'm quite impressed. The shave is pretty close and it glides across my skin without dragging hair or causing razor burn. The flex head really helps around the contours. I also like that the shaver has a travel lock and carry case. The only negative point is that it didn't have a UK plug, it instead came with a 2 pin charger. This is a replacement for a series 5 I previously owned. I'm happy to say that this series 8 is just as good, if not better. Seems to be the same size and shape as the series 5 and looks like a similar (same?) shaving foil/cutter. Might just be because the foil and cutter are newer, but I seem to suffer less from razor burn than my old shaver.Nice extra with this shaver is the shaving stand - no more lying the shaver on its side. Covered in a rubber-like coating at the back that sticks firmly to the palm of my hand. Leaves a clean shaven skin, just like a regular razor with its head rotating in all directions allowing for a more 3D experience. LED screen with the battery level indicates how long it will last. Overall, a really well made product that bridges the gap between series 7 and series 9. The head of the shaver moves easily with the contours of your face and gives a really close shave. I've used it dry, wet in the sink and in the shower. The waterproof idea is such a good one; it is so versatile and easy to clean. Effective trimmer facility with easy access/use. Easy to clean. I have often struggled to use shavers on a regular basis (I wear a shirt and tie every day at work, and my neck in particular can become red, raw and extremely sensitive), so have tended to opt for a razor blade shave. However, having used this shaver, I can honestly say my opinion has changed. It gives a really close shave all over, and does not contribute to shaver burn on and around my neck/throat area. This product feels like it gets closer than my usual wet razors. The most amazing feature of this is the battery - I've used it every day for a week and still have all the bars on the digital display. The price is probably quite steep initially compared to other razors with a similar shave but you'll certainly save a bit on batteries and electricity, or disposables. This product changed my views on electric shavers; I had not used an electric shaver for over 20 years and in the last ten years or so had gone back to traditional safety razors and shaving cream.
